Yeh - tour announcement - State Theatre in Sydney in October, eh? We already knew that. It is too early in the morning for me to be able to read that. I will have to read it with the magnifying glass when I am a bit more awake. It appears to be a good read.

I have just read it. What a terrific read. Will be going to Adelaide, Perth, Tasmania and other Australian big cities. Will be going to Ireland in September 22 Steps and Album being released in Ireland
"while he says that those who liked the ridiculously successful Winners Journey will get the 'same vibe' from the new album there'll be 'more of me' in the new recording (Winter take note)I've tried really hard to stick to my own style the whole way through the process and the record company have supported me in that regard".
Pressed to describe the style of the album he says that while his influences might be clear, he is hoping the result will be uniquely his sound.
And there is a lot more than that.

Something else Damien said in the interview:
But more importantly the Awards night was a chance to close the remarkable first chapter of the Damien Leith story.
"I performed Night of My Life. It was a different arrangement but I walked away thinking that it's time to move on to the next chapter and concentrate on the new stuff. It was a sort of final farewell to that song."
The title of his book is 'One More Time'.
He is going back to Ireland for a promotional visit in September. He said he would love to tour over there but it would depend how the album goes.

He could just do a small concert... I wouldn't mind that!

I would think he'd at least end up doing a small show to promote the album. With the warm reception he got the last time he was over there, I can't see him going over there and not being asked to perform. Who knows - it could end up being another 'low-key' tour like the one he did here, before it became kinda huge.
