After having Braffy ring me to let me know she was stressed
(because of the parking situation in Manly
) she came up to make spacious room and we knocked back a coupla cuppas
and after we headed off.....looking for a garage ( not found going there
) we went and picked up Princey and DH
Next came the 3 point turn because some idiot!! busdriver parked the tour bus across the motel exit
and we went out the entry.
Had a chat with the charming staff on entry (after MaggieMay followed us in
great work on those stairs MaggieMay...that was wow!!) we joined Shims and b/f at table.
Staff loved the way we decorated out table a la Chrissy style
and gave out cards/gifts.....one of waitresses decided she'd wear her antlers if we wore our Santa hats

Show started at 8pm ;D

Straight into Golden Line
(RJ ;D) and
Only the Lonely. Damien's voice has never sounded better or stronger, he is hitting those high notes with ease
After 3 straight songs D said that was the longest he had gone without talking ;D we were pretty happy too ;D ;D
He talked about how he was so jetlagged after jusy arriving back from recording in Nashville
and talked about Studio B there and how they'd had such fantastic artists recording there, like Elvis and Roy Orbison and how so many albums had come out of there and so many hits
Damien went to the piano and did Beautiful, followed by Crazy Love
I gave D a t-shirt with fully loaded on the front but he did ask if he needed the bomb squad before he looked at it oohhh and wondered if it was okay for public viewing
Also talked about how he enjoyed playing with a laser gun (christmas present) but the kid next door borrowed and broke it
I suspect Damien likes helping the boys with their toys

Damien and Eric then did a great version of Romeo and Juliet with spine tingling ahhhhhhh ahhhhhhh by D and this went into Night of My Life

There happened to be a discussion on the abilities of audiences at different venues and Wollongong was given a
dishonourable 
errr honourable? mention with appropriate awwwwss from us followed by giggles

It was a fantastic show with the serving staff standing and applauding (like us) and asking for more
However, the venue was supposed to close at 10pm (license rules) but we were all at the entry then waiting to see Damien
He really is such a trooper and was jetlagged to the nth degree, but was still obliging and willing to chat.
Also gave D a t-shirt which had a guitar and world's best dad on it

Princey and DH walked back to the Travel Lodge as it was a lovely night holding the 3 bottles Princey had left at my house ;D
MaggieMay, Braffy and I kicked on with cuppas at the Novotel....such decadent souls hehe
Was lovely to meet up with Shims and b/f, Princey and DH, MaggieMay and Braffy and Anny came across with her DH to chat too ;D
The waitress helping with the sales (Damien's) was saying after the show how Brian Lizotte says such wonderful and glowing things about D ;D which was lovely
