It will soon be Christmas so I thought I would start spreading the word about tickets to the brass monkey Feb 19 & 20 2011 to some locals as a super Christmas gift.
The more there the better.

To all the members going to these shows -you lucky duckies!! It sounds like it'll be absolutely fantabulous! and for all the out-of-area visitors... have a fantastic mini-holiday. Looks like Sydneys getting up some steam for you I think you can only get standing room tickets for these now? It's tempting but I don't think I can but I'll cheer up when the reports pop up

I'm hooooooooome! From the BEST Brass Monkey show I have EVER been to! SQUEEEEEEEEE! It was FUNTARSTIC! The drums added so much to the show! I hope Steve stays in the band. The crowd loved D (and the entire band). Everyone was really getting into it. Especially during PRETTY WOMAN ... omgosh, Pretty Woman was soooo good! I think Dawn has the "official" set list, but in case anyone is awake and waiting for it, I'll post it, and Dawn can correct me if I'm wrong. Oh, and Dawn can tell you about the "interesting" gift she gave Damien... Solo:Sorry Tenterfield Saddler If Tomorrow Never Comes Crying Damien then played a bit of Another One Bites The Dust as the band (minus Steve) came on stage. Band (with no Steve):Never Meant To Fail Beautiful (been a while since I heard this with no piano ... sounded wonderful, as usual ) Band (with Steve ... was kinda funny, all of a sudden he appeared on stage and Damien seemed quite surprised ):Golden Line (really AWESOME new version! ) Crazy Love Subida Annie's Song (which D introduced as Granny's song, and I also noticed he had it written on his set list like that ) *Break*Band:Shine Like The Sun Wild World Pretty Woman Guitar Man/Stairway To Heaven Not Just For The Weekend Creep Alone (AWESOME! ) Danny Boy Everybody's Talking Goodnight Encore:Hallelujah/Sleepwalk Those four songs after the break (with the s) plus Never Meant To Fail got the best response from the audience (in my opinion) ... heaps rocky and awesome, and the crowd were clapping and cheering and singing along. Crazy Love seemed to be a favourite as well. (I wonder if Michael Bublé sang it at the exact same time at the show that Kazza and Michele were at. ) Oh, yes ... wardrobe. Grey jeans, grey connies, blue/grey shirt, which changed to a brownish-grey shirt for the second half, and then a black shirt after the show. And the necklace that Jagger made. Eileen was there (for her first ever BM show), and so was their friend from QLD (hence the inclusion of Danny Boy). Eils said the baby IS due on St Pat's Day , so not long to wait! Damien couldn't stay long after the show, but very kindly let us all have a quick chat with him. Was nice to see him again. ;D

Oh wow Spud sounds like it was great! Fantastic that Eils was there for her first BM show too and that their friend who loves Danny Boy could be there as well! Totally forgot Michael Buble also does Crazy Love, that would be funny if he and Damien had sung it at the same time. Hugh Sheridan tweeted that he was at the Buble concert & he was tweeting back pictures all night from there, maybe Kazza & Michele saw him! I've loved Never Meant to Fail ever since seeing Damien do it on Idol, it's so fantastic to see it on the setlist more often these days, I hope it stays!! Glad you loved Alone - isn't the new version awesome! I think I love Beautiful best when it's done on guitar like you said it was tonight, same with Stay, though love to always hear different arrangements either way. Can't say I'm enamoured of the renaming of Annie's Song, but then I suppose I would think the original name is nicer. That's so exciting about a new arrangement of Golden Line, would love to hear more about it and how it's different! A bit of Another One Bites The Dust would have been cool to hear also! Am really sorry not to be going to the BM after all this tour as it's definitely one of my fave venues to see Damien play but just wasn't meant to be this time round. Have a great time tomorrow night, looking forward to hearing all about that one too and loving reading the setlists!

Woohoo Spud, the excitement barely fits on my screen! Sounds like another magical night. Interesting to hear that the drums were there too - is that a sign it'll be a regular for the other shows? I remember enjoying watching Damien and Eric really getting into the beat at Rooty Hill. It was so infectious. Was Cesar there too? I know that some don't like Annie's Song but I really don't mind it - Damien does a lovely version of it. But I guess there are others I love even more! I'd never pass up ' Beautiful' for it Glad you got it tonight and a few other originals too. I guess the travellers were pretty happy with the show then? Have a terrific time tomorrow night too
