Well I think Shims has given such a great report that I don't have a lot to add,everything I would say has been said it was amazing so intimate.We had amazing seats and Damien and Eric had to squeeze past us to get to the stage,so it was very nice as Damien went oast and patted my shoulder Hello he just makes you feel so special. I also have to say My DD came along and she just wanted to here Stay,now my daughter is not a cryer but for some reason this brings tears to her eyes so she was getting a bit dissapointed there was no Stay.The week earlier I had written a little note to Damien at Rooty hill telling him how much this song means to her and could he please fit it in for her,she is an amazing Daughter and has got me through a tough year so I wanted to do something nice for her. Even when Damien said it was a special request from someone at Rooty Hill it still didn't click that he was going to sing it for her.The look on her face was priceless when he said stay,at the end of the song he looked our way and I blew him a kiss  . After the show she thanked him and he even went up to her and gave her a kiss he is such a sweetie.I am sure he has so many more fans after this show ,he was so cheeky throughout just feeding off the audience and as we all know the more everyone gives the more he gives in return. I do have some photos but I probably won't get to them today as I am a bit under the weather,so check back in a couple of days. Shims it was lovely to catch up with you and P again I loved your report Lovely Kazza...so true about the man..lol...hope you feel better soon  |

So many fantastic memories! Thank you so much Kazza and Michele for your fantastic reports and really glad you enjoyed mine as well, it was some kind of night! That crazy heatwave all week and then the wonderful atmosphere of the room and Damien & Eric's incredible performances, it all just came together! Hope you're feeling much better now Kazza  Was so beautiful when Damien did the song for your DD and she was still beaming after the show! ps - check C&A  Deb wow you really touched me with your post, the entire point of writing the reports is not only to keep the memory of a wonderful show but to share it with those who can't be there too, so please be assured that in the mind's eye at least you were there too and that old door of reality didn't slam shut on you. Head on over to C&A too for some extras Trilly yes it was still pretty warm in there even with the air-con so they added fans! It all kind of added to it though, we were all sort of in it together in that crazy heatwave but out for a night in the middle of it. Amazing setlists at these shows, looking forward to seeing what other songs there'll be too! After reading the CC setlist I'm starting to wonder if I may have missed Waiting on An Angel - I think it may have been at the start of the 2nd set?? If either of you remember for sure Kazza & Michele would be great if maybe you can confirm? I remembered something else later as well, at the start of the 2nd set Damien got a request for the Kildare Song so he sung that too! First time I've heard it that I can remember! |

Wow - what a show! You lucky duckies  Thanks for your wonderful reports Shimmery, Michele and Kazza. I wish I could've made it but you've made me feel like I was there too... well almost  I hope that you all, and Damien, have recovered from the micro heatwave conditions. Lol that he couldn't really leave the 'stage' before coming back to do the encores. |
