Carols By The Bay
Every Christmas, the Hobart City Council conducts Carols by the Bay at Sandown Park, Sandy Bay. This event attracts a crowd of around 12 – 15,000 people.
2010 will see Jay Laga’aia (Water Rats, Play School, Home and Away, Bed of Roses etc) as MC and performer, while former Australian Idol winner Damien Leith, will be the main entertainer.
As “charity of choice” at Carols, Variety sells programs, candles, glow products and a range of merchandise, raising thousands of dollars to help Tasmanian children in need.
Would you like to help out? We need many volunteers on the night to either man the entrances or work in the Variety marquee. Just call the Variety office on (03) 6223 1886.
19th DEC 2010 HOBART - Damien is scheduled to perform at Myer Carols By the Bay in the beautiful city of Hobart, a great one for the Tasmanians this Christmas!
