Talkiing about insight into Roy from Barbara Orbison exec producing. Roy sang with the utmost emotion 'plucking the heart-strings, or lifting you up" Saying some people have always thought he sounded like Roy. The connection has always beeen there. It's achallenging album, absolute classics. This performance could be a disaster.. the audience could turn! Singing Pretty Woman!

oow, a female dueting.. acoustic.. sounding nice! Mercy! ;D Crowd clapping heaps! Talking about the tragedies of Orbisons life, loss of his wife and sons. He was known as a quiet man, a quiet performer. Cool at the same time. D needs to wear glasses...and put on more weight. (from DJ) Barbara wants to keep his legacy going, get new audiences and older audiences to hear Roy. D has given the songs his touch, but been true to them as well. ;D That was GREAT! The DJ said the song they played (from "Roy") just 'jumped" out of the radio! Finished now.

I'd like to hear two things mentioned by D in the next interview. 1) THE RELEASE DATE! (April 15th) 2) That many of the songs have a full band sound on the album ;D

Trilly has covered it beautifully. Damien and Eric were there. The studio was packed. When Dawn and I went into the room there were only a few seats left (after being 2 of the first 10 to arrive at the studios earlier). I noticed 2 spare seats at the end of the first 2 rows so Dawn sat in the front row and I sat behind her. S T A G E ----------x(Dawn) ----------x(Braffy) ----------- ----------- ----------- The rows were longer than that. There was probably 6 or 7 rows. While we were waiting for the broadcast to start Eric walked in from our right and saw us. I wasn't sure if he looked scared or not ;D He was doing something with the guitars and then he left. We just waved and whispered hello. There was no chat or anything. Just as it was about to start Damien and Eric walked in and Damien looked really surprised to see us there and gave a lovely smile. There was no conversation. Richard Glover was the DJ that Trilly mentioned. The panel was made up of Jean Kitson, Anthony Ackroyd and Subby Valentine. Damien and Eric did the interview and song then more interview and they left the stage and Damien headed straight for the airport on his way to Melbourne. Eric mentioned that to Dawn in about 3.5 seconds. Damien is looking very thin. The audience appeared to really enjoy his appearance. He received very loud applause. (and wolf whistles/yahoo's ). Did you hear the man call out during Pretty Woman? I think he thought the song had finished and he was yelling out encouragement type 'something'. He was sitting next to me. I thought it was Dawn that was referred to as the Big O but apparently there was another lady who was yelling/shrieking as Damien left the stage I must talk about losing Dawn My oh my our tradition goes in tangents. Dawn and I worked out what train we were going to catch, what carriage and where in the carriage Dawn would be in and all was good. Somehow I stuffed it up in my head. I was getting ready to leave home and Dawn rang and said 'are you on the train?' I said no I am at home and I am leaving now. I think the long pause from Dawn gave it away that something was amiss I said 'Why, Have you gone through ******? ' 'Yes' she said. Holy %#$#^ Aren't we meant to be on the 2.58 train? Noooooo I was and madly made my way to the junction station and caught the next fast train to the city. Dawn was waiting for me all refreshed and watered and ;D ;D. We then made our way to the studios after working out which way was up with the map. It was a great adventure.

On his way to Melbourne? Wonder what he was doing here! Probably more promo. Was there a female backup, Braff or was it Eric in high dudgeon? It really sounded like a woman, to me! Glad you had a great time. ;D

Just Eric Trilly. I have no idea what was happening in Melbourne. It was Damien on his own and he left lightning quick. As soon as his segment was over he was gone.

Did the audience clapping sound loud on the radio? It was certainly very loud in the studio.

I heard it on the radio at the time as well, it was so great to hear Damien singing live on radio, loved Pretty Woman! I wondered for a moment who was on backing vocal but knew it was Eric as soon as I heard his guitar come in, they both sounded great! Just loved all the interview about Barbara Orbison and Damien getting to know the more personal aspect of Roy and his singing and personality. He had a reputation as being a real gentleman who cared deeply in what is a tough business, and who gave his energy to the song and the performance - it was lovely to hear Damien speaking a bit about that. I thought I heard Dawn at one point early on and sounded like the audience got into it. I got a phone call straight after Damien stopped singing so missed a bit at the end but heard most of it, was fantastic!
