WHAT AN AMAZING SHOW!!!!From start to finish we were all blown away, it was just FANTASTIC!!I'll start at the begining.......
Smiley and I collaborated all week about something we may do or give Damien on the night......more revelled as you read on...
We arrived down the coast (after a little detour)
I won't say we were lost, but circled a few times trying to get back onto the main road to Jupiters (just keeping the tradition!!)
and arrived to meet Smiley who had arrived at the same time
We checked into one of the rooms as soon as we arrived, so that was brilliant, lots of squeeeing, laughing, drinking and nibbles, then off to the shops for some retail therapy!
We opted to miss dinner and decided to have it after the show....I think we were too excited to eat anyway
FULL HOUSE, LOTS OF FOG, AMAZING LIGHTING.......we watched the dvd before the show as you all know, it was a great way to the start the show, and then......BANG...Damien came out all in black, sunnies
I loved it!!
The set list was the same starting with
YOU GOT IT, which got us going straight away, awesome song to start the show with.
straight into Only the Lonely, wow, you could hear a pin drop, everyone was just mesmerised by Damien.
I won't go on about all the songs, but there were a few stand outs for sure....
RUNNING SCARED!!!! WOW WOW and WOW!! where the hell did that come from...the power in Damien's voice was just amazing. That song isn't one of my favs on the album, but man LIVE it totally got me!! Smiley and I kept looking at each other going OMG this is amazing!! seriously loved that!!
Also, DROVE ALL NIGHT, Damien said that if he didn't sing this song for the girls in the front then he'd be in trouble!!
I think that was a dedication!
the song was also amazing, we rocked out to that and most of the others too of course.
I just loved DREAM BABY, I really, can't get enough of that song.
GOODNIGHT!!! HOLY MOLY!!! I didn't want that to end, just ABSOLUTE POWERHOUSE!! Damien got a huge applaud for that, so I'm glad he has added that to the show! (Golden Line would of worked too
)
PRETTY WOMAN went off, everyone loved that.
IN DREAMS was another brilliant song, the audience really loved that, they were spell bound!
BEAUTIFUL was just gorgeous, loved the whistle at the begining, I always loved the song more with Indi's intro on violin, so the whistle is a good replacement. The crowd loved this song too and gave lots of claps and woohoos!
in fact I can't say a bad thing about any of the songs, they were all amazing, Damien has done a great job with the set list, and I like that he has stuck with the same songs throughout the National Tour.
THE DANCE!!!!
That was so funny, Mel came out dressed in the red vest and bow tie, and was carrying a blue vest and blue tie for Damien...so he said, do I have to strip to put these on, the band started playing to the tune of ...take your shirt off, very slowly and Damien started to do a Strip Dance!!
it was hilarious, he only got the jacket off, and then put his vest on, Mel tried to put his tie on, but his shirt was in the way and they couldn't do it up, so he tossed it away.
It was so good to see D and Mel dance, doing the Jive to HEY HEY WE ARE THE MONKEES. The crowd LOVED it!! after the dance, I couldn't believe how out of breath Damien was, he was sweating and very puffed! Not sure how he managed to sing straight after that! ....as they finished their dance, (one of our things to do) Smiley had the job of making these....we made a few large paddle pop signs to hold up (like the judges), we had four of them, (one each) which had 10 10 10 and the last one 100 on them. After the dance Sis, Bella, Smiley and I stood up and held them up, Mel saw them and cracked up, unfortunately I don't think Damien saw them as where he was standing he had the lights in his eyes. But a few people after the show commented and said they thought it was great. ;D ;D ;D ;D
We also near the end of the show, threw something on stage, but again....Damien didn't see it!! arrrgh we were having rotten luck! he bent down just as it went over his head
Smiley and I had thought about this all week also and we really put some work into it....hehe, I'll wait until Smiley is back before we reveal what it was

so funny when you were telling us about the Camera/videoing....gosh Qld is really bad for not allowing cameras..I took a few sneaky shots at the end of the show too. Congrats on finding out about your DD having a baby, that was so special for you.
Sorry Jodi, I didn't realise it was you, I was too busy trying to get my shoes back on my feet and when I turned around you had gone. Did you find your mobile??

The excitement just flowed through your words and brought our wonderful night back again to memory, not that I've really forgotten. Still in teh Coma 
when we are used to the smaller shows where we get most of the attention 
He's very generous with his time, if he can be, we all know that.

Hell I can't think..the deep deep timbre of In Dreams and Running Scared was toe tingling. My god! I was totally gobsmacked!! 
And it was D-lish!! THANKS Rox!! glug glug!
