;D OMFG DAMIEN ROCKS !!!! I swear he just gets better & better , we all had a blast !! Just Awesome   Thankyou Damien for dedicating "I Drove All Night" to us LOve this song so much & Thankyou for the time you spent with everyone after the show. My friend also went with her mum, this is the first show they have been to but they absolutely loved it, and I'm sure they will be back for more too  I think everyone else has covered what the show was like, I'm on cloud 9 this morning ... I'm soooo excited to read these reports - the tour has begun and it sounds just FANTASTIC!!!  I know it is never enough on the night, but that seems like a pretty good and long setlist to me! How brilliant that I Drove All Night was dedicated to you (such a sexy song too!!) The full band - so looking forward to hearing that backing Damien's voice! That was so generous of Damien to stay back and meet everyone  considering the workload he has at the moment, but you're probably right (was it Glawz?), he was no doubt very excited about the show himself and was keen to hear how his fans enjoyed it!! And what a laugh about Manu being in the audience - touche Damien!! now he knows exactly what an opponent he is facing in him!!  |

I JUST LOVE HIM TO BITS! What you said, Krissy! We were all in DLURRRRVEland last night again and we told him so! I've remmebered what the song was that Eric played -the theme to "Local Hero!"Kinda appropriate, doncha think? ;D Aaaand I think the song I called "Mean Woman Blues" is actually called " I Gotta Woman" but not sure! LOL! Oh and when it was my turn to get a squeeze from Teh Man he hugged- and dropped his signing pen down my back!  My dress had a sort of V back neckline and he forgot he had a pen in his hand - but he retrieved it!  I said "WT?? and laughed and then D cracked me up by saying' "That's a move I learned as a kid to attract the ladies!!" bahahaha!! He was in fine form last night!!! ;D

Sounds like it was the most fabulous show!! So fantastic also that Damien stayed back to see everyone who waited and love that there were standing ovations and everybody loved it all so much! Thanks for all the reports girls!! |

Yep, Smiley, I did a double take with Trilly's set list too  Trills, I love love love the theme from 'Local Hero'. On Dire Straits' Alchemy tour in 1980-something (which I saw here - magic!), they finished each gig with that, as it is also called 'Going Home'. The roadies came on the stage while they played and took the equipment off until at the end it was just Mark Knopfler playing. I have ordered that one for my funeral  |

I was gobsmacked that he did it too, Deb! However, Jen was there and so was George to help out , but Damien seemd to be really, really happy to meet the heaps ( probably about 150!) of besotted fans who were completely and totally smitten last night! ..and they all bought merch! ROY, his books, his other albums, and something fun and new, which I'll leave as a surprise! |
