I went to this! Damien sang You Got It, Crying, and Oh, Pretty Woman. Cesar was there too. I filmed Oh, Pretty Woman. You can watch it HERE. It's not very good quality because I just used the camera on my phone. D talked about Roy, his upcoming tour, Australian Idol, Dancing With The Stars, and of course Kikki (there was lots of cheering for Kikki ). D asked everyone to be watching DWTS on Sunday and to vote for him. He apparently considered doing a bit of dancing during You Got It, but then decided against it. I reckon there were about 50 or more people there at the actual stage, but there was also a LOT of people (guys, girls, kids, etc) on the floor above who had stopped their shopping to watch D perform. They had around 70-100 copies of the album for sale, I think (not sure how many were sold though). They also mentioned that it's the #5 album in the country at the moment (and Damien said it will do well this week as well ). Wardrobe: black jacket (which was removed for the signing), black shirt, black jeans and black Converse shoes. Photos! (Again, I had to use my phone camera so the quality isn't that great.) ... ... ... ... ... After Damien sang, everyone lined up to get their album signed. D was really friendly to everyone, as usual, and I saw a lot of happy faces. I love it when D talks to little kids and he looks just as excited as they are. D said he was glad to see a Damienite there and gave me a hug and a kiss and I got a photo with him (and got my album signed, obviously). We talked about Kikki for a bit and D said she's been sleeping well. He then told me that the next time we see him will be the tour (as in, I'm pretty sure he meant there will be no other in-store performances ). I guess he'll be pretty busy with DWTS, so that's probably why. But from the sounds of it, there will be quite a few shows in this tour (as in, not just the ones we know about so far), so yay! I couldn't resist asking D what his plans were post-Roy. He didn't give too much away but mentioned that he has a few original songs written. It was so nice to see him, and hear him sing, and have a chat with him. Thanks Damien!

Hey Brian, great news that your son'll be sending us a report... I'll look forward to reading it from a guys perspective. Hi Spud I'm so glad you made it to hear Damien sing tonight The stage and posters looked great. Thanks for the video and pics and the fabulous report. Mr Leith is looking very trim taut & terrific and not at all wiry Just a shame you didn't get a sample of Sunday night's dancing. I unfortunately got stuck in traffic from an accident and after the GPS got me going in circles I eventually got there in time to talk to quite a lot of really happy people clutching cd's. first guy was in the lift who told me I'd missed it but then said how good Damien was so he got a cd He was spouting so much info on what Damien said and did and what he was like and how it turned out... ALL TOTALLY POSITIVE (mods: we need a with a mo' LOL) Meanwhile, another lady in the lift joined in the D-lurve... By the time I got to the stage area the line was still long despite seeing lots of people walking around with their cd's. I'm certain they sold much more than 100 Spud because the guy was opening boxes to replenish the stock on the table and stand. I checked first that they were from a store that counts the sales for the ARIAs The Westfield concierge staff were also busy filming with their phones, camers - whatever they could use, really and they were totally gushing too. Standing in line I had such wonderful conversations with a lady who's from Darwin and whose family supported Jess during Idol (of course). But she was really happy with Damien... surprised though to hear that he was up to album #5. After very little convincing she's on her way to get Remember June.

Yeah, Trilly, frustrating like alas, nothing I could've done to avoid the snarl. Sorry I missed seeing Spud too. Really good to hear that original song-writing is still on the busy man's schedule. But the night ended beautifully. Got such a warm welcome from Damien and talked about his Storylines appearance (I'll post soon) the previous Sunday as well as DWTS (see the other thread). Got messages to give the members Got my friend's cd signed and cause I'm lending her my copy I got to listen to it all the way home! Oh, and another lovely part of the night in that long queue was getting to hear the whole album played over the loud speakers! siiiigh

Oh bummer, Nuffy! What a shame we missed each other and you missed the performance. Glad you still got to talk to D though! And yeah, I forgot to mention how wonderful it was to hear 'Roy' being played throughout the shopping centre. Ah, glad they opened more boxes of CDs. They said at one stage that anyone who wanted to buy one should buy one now because they were about to pack up (this was before I had even got my copy signed, and I was towards the front of the line), and I was like "whaaat?!" because the line stretched on for ages after me. Last photo!

Absolutely GORGEOUS pic Spud, they're all great! Love the video too, was really cool to see an acoustic Pretty Woman and love the way Damien does the "Mercy" bit! *ooh, teh toe tingles!* ;D So great that you and Nuffy could get there! Sorry that you missed out on the songs though Nuffy. Apart from that bit though sounds that you both had a great time and it was a lovely meet-up with Damien and thanks for all the news! Fantastic news too that you got time to listen to the whole album during the wait for the signing, shows how many people were there lined up! Great to hear it was selling so well and also that a lot of new people got to hear about Remember June! Damien must be so flat out at the moment, a shame it looks like there won't be any other appearances for a while til the tour then. Really looking forward to DWTS, how exciting to be learning all those dances direct from a professional, cannot wait to hear each week which dance it will be next! Sounds like it's full on and at such an exciting stage with the show starting soon - we will all be voting! - and we are all certainly well skilled in that area! Thanks so much again for posting tonight about all the event Spud & Nuffy, so glad it was such a good night and Damien got such a great response! Meant to add! Very excited to hear about even more shows planned and the new original songs being written!
