Thanks for posting Shims!  This vid is so much fun! It's interesting watching D recording, talking to producers (hey Stuie!) and collaborators (hey Bobby!) and groovin to the sounds. ;D I think D really achieved what he set out to do and that's honour Orbison's talent whilst making it "more than just a covers album." |

Thanks Shims, great find! ;D Have to agree, there is more of a tribute, than just a covers with this album that's for sure! D has done a fantastic job! I really enjoy listening to this Cd, Damien's voice is just amazing ;D It must of been thrilling for D to travel to Nashville and walk in the footsteps of Roy, record in the same studio etc...what an amazing feeling that must of been for him. I'd love to know/hear more about that trip one day...hope we get to find out more. ;D It really does look like the city of MUSIC doesn't it! |

This is a wonderful video of the making of the album. Great to hear some of the reactions of the producers too.

Thanks for posting this Shims, its so great to follow Damien through the making of ROY, its a great album and he has really done a great tribute to The Big O he should be very proud of this achievement

Thanks for posting this Shims. I love how they use a background of many of the songs. It's a really fantastic BTS vid for the album... friendly and accessible without being precious but still looks professionally made to be interesting for the viewer/listener.  Definitely like that Damien says very clearly he doesn't want to sound like Roy..."I've got to put my own stamp on it... otherwise it would just be a covers album." (at 6:13) Nice to see the McClymonts on the video too singing Blue Bayou. Such a passionately cruisie version (is that really possible? Lol, yes.)  |

A friend of mine told me recently she'd seen this video broadcast on GEM, digital Channel 90! Awesome that it's had airtime!  She also said it was really interesting and she enjoyed learning about "Roy" and Damien's journey in making the album...which I had given her as a gift! ;D |

I remember seeing a Sony promo for someone else about 4 mths ago. I can't remember which artist it was now, but I remember thinking, I hope they do something like that for Damien.
It was 5 minute promo on channel 9, just before midday.
Must be the same sort of thing
