Just as a little aside - very exciting news today that Baz Luhrmann is creating STRICTLY BALLROOM the musical to Sydney for it's World Premiere in 2013! Baz is well known for his love of music - maybe a certain dancing singer could be perfect in a role for this show too, would love to see Damien part of this!

Baz's "Red Curtain" movies (Strictly Ballroom, Romeo and Juliet, Moulin Rouge ) are up there with my all time faves..and his production of "La Boheme" with David Hobson was possibly the best EVER in Aus ;D.. ..the thought of Damien appearing in a musical version of SB is almost too stupendous for me to contemplate!

Am beside myself even at the thought of this Trilly it would be so exciting if Damien wanted to do this and the opportunity arose!

I'm a massive fan of Baz's Red Curtain trilogy (lost count of how many times I saw those movies at the cinema! ) and totally agree, also think his production of La Boheme was one of the best ever! Am so so excited about this news today that at long last Strictly Ballroom is going to be a full blown musical production! Would love to see Romeo and Juliet and Moulin Rouge also become musicals produced by Baz one day!



One of the news reports said it will be staged at the Lyric theatre at Star City (Swoon City) - gorgeous setting, OMG it's going to be amazing, can imagine the production team will absolutely go to town to make this stunning
