According to this page, there will be no Celebration on the CD version of Damien's journey. I don't mind so much about that, but I am disappointed it also doesn't have "With Or Without You", "Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word" and "High & Dry". I love those three and will miss them on the CD. I may just have to make my own "special" one  Not to sound ungrateful though, of course! I can't believe this is even a real thing. Remixed and remastered.. AWESOME!!! ;D ;D ;D |

No High and Dry?! Well...at least it is on the DVD  wow, I cant wait for this...its such a great idea to do this, to get our Damo fix now and wait for the real album..... ;D |

I think it's a great idea too. I wonder if it goes towards the 5 albums in his contract too?
I didn't HATE Celebration, but it's very different to everything else he did so I won't go missing it.

Ooooh no Celebration  :(I'm a tad disappointed. I enjoyed it immensely. Granted I spent half the time with a pillow over my face cringing and the other half in hysterical fits of laughter, but I really enjoyed in a macabre kinda way. Absolutely adorkable! And I am genuinely disappointed about "With or Without You" not being on there. I just love how he sings that line - with or with-out you ah-hah Very sexy. |

I already have my own CD with all the songs from You are So Beautiful to Night of My Life (16 tracks in all - that's probably why they had to leave a few out). I have to say that I love listening to Celebration tho the visual is something else. I wonder if Damien chose the ones to leave out?  ?? |

I loved Celebration as well! BTW, I just bought Damo's single! Can't wait for his DVD. I have asked santa for it for Christmas!

Well, this seals it. I'm gonna have to make a CD of my own to... ah, complement this set. Which I will also be getting, of course. And now I need the Idol DVD to get 'You Are So Beautiful'. Aaaargh...
But, like you guys, I'm really just happy that this thing is coming out at all, in any form. I can't wait...

I love ALL his songs - and it's not a full Idol Winners Journey with out ALL of them ... Glad the other songs are there but I'm missing all the others....
Yes - INCLUDING Celebration - not my fave but I love it without a doubt .. still play it too!

I love Celebration! It sounds so enthusiastic (even if he really wasn't) and I love watching him bounce around the stage like a mad thing! Very enjoyable! It's the one I listen to the least, but the one I'd most like to see again. Can't wait to watch it again, it was gone from You Tube before I could Keep-Vid it!
I'm in the process of putting together my own CD. I'm just downloading a few from the finale to add to it. The Top 3 version of U2's One is going on there two - he sang it so beautifully, totally upstaged everyone else!
Do you think the dvd will have commentary/extra interlinnear comments from Damien on each performance or something?

I love Celebration! It sounds so enthusiastic (even if he really wasn't)  You didn't think he was enthused? I thought he had an absolute ball and got right in to it! It really was fun to watch, but even though I know Damien has had 4 touchdowns and WON the competition since that night, I still cringe and get so upset for him when he stands there for what seems like an eternity waiting for the judges to speak. I honestly just want to cry for him and I'm not that much of an emotional person! Oh and Celebration is the one I play least, too. Funn that I doubt it because I think it's just a quick way for them to get something out there for the public, but never say never! They're taking the time to remaster all the songs and it's taking a week or so to get together, so the chances of them getting Damien in to comment on everything aren't impossible. I'd just say unlikely. |
