I absolutely loved Damien's and Mel's dance performance on Sunday night. I don't understand "the darkhorse of the competition" comment either and I wonder what Damien has to do to get a score of "10"?

AGREE AGREE AGREE with everything everyone said particularly about how AWESOME Damien was!!! I just broke into applause in my lounge room after watching his dance - it was TOTALLY FANTASTIC!!! Yes, I have to wonder too what he has to do to earn a 10!!!! Manu was no where near an 8 if Damien was a 9....... but anyway, keep it up Damien!! And......... he did it without taking his shirt off or unbuttoning...... and unlike some of you I wouldn't mind a bit of fake tan and waxed chest..... just for a change!! ;D ;D I think Damien and Mel are getting on so well, they look like they are really having fun together off the dance floor, and that is really translating into a fantastic dance team! I've been reading in the paper about how "Sam and her partner aren't getting on and whispers about a number of other celebrities not enjoying being told what to do by their dance partners"....... can't imagine Damien ever having that attitude so another thing in his favour!! Thanks Kath for the You Tube vids - I just rewatched them all - so good!!

Damien was absolutely amazing on Sunday night! Wow what a high energy performance, he really is a true song and dance man! Was fantastic to see the high scores and also see him and Mel featured more on this week's ad for the coming show on Sunday Love the behind the scenes moments and interviews! Lol, like Sam the 'brown chicken brown cow' joke totally cracked me up, I hadn't heard it before and the way Damien told it just made it Thought it was fantastic the way Mel took Damien to the arcade to get used to the fast dance steps, that was inspired! Their dance looked something out of a classic movie, they are a sensational couple on the dancefloor Loved the costumes and the way Damien tossed that hat away with such panache as well - he really gets right into the characters, I love looking forward to seeing what story they will be playing out each week, can't wait to see what's next!

I noticed Damien is on the end of this week's tv promos - just 1 second? -I remember seeing a flash of red Lol. The "dark hose" description gives Ch 7 excuses for not promoting him as much, I suppose. Also, if you check out the dwts website videos,"Behind the Scenes: Episode 4" they're at 1:00. He and Mel are shown practicing on of the energetic moves over and over Love how Mel keeps at him to "1 , 2 , 3 , 4 , 5, 6... Keep going!! " till he can't take any more I liked the package bit on the night where it really highlights how well Damien and Mel get along - more like brother & sister or good friends knocking about and even the occasional squabble (well, tone of voice kids get) when she tells him in no uncertain terms to "Pick it up!!" and his annoyed return is "I AM picking it up!" Lol and the good natured pushing on the dance machine. I don't see any others having such a fun yet constructive time which is a pity. I really hope that Sam gets over her block and gets some fun out of this - she really looks like she so regrets coming on the show. It's hard to be motivated when all you get are knock-backs. Damien was lucky he did well at the start cause the successful memory is something to aim to repeating. But the advantage for those struggling from the start is that their improvements, although little, can be more noticeable to viewers & judges. Damien, however, gets blasted with poor marks because he fumbled a step or two (literally that few) on the Samba despite doing so well for the rest of the dance and all the difficult other steps. I can't wait to see what else comes up next Sunday. I really didn't think I'd get into this show aas much as I have... but I do skip past or mute most of the irritating bits till it gets much more interesting

Um,deb, that is one place probably not to put them. You are actually not supposed to upload TV stuff to youtube - but no-one takes any notice, except perhaps a page run by a TV station......
