I want to post properly but just don't have the capacity tonight, except to say that D and band had the audience sorta spellbound until after the BIG BALLADS, and then they just went totally with the rocking flow! Not. Bad for an audience of mainly older folk, with a few random youngsters thrown in. I think the forty/fifty something types loved the rockier numbers espesh! ;D

Omg, cannot go on, too tired. Will finish iN the am!

Firstly here's anew joke for you Damien, courtesy of Plugger.
What's the difference between erotic and kinky? With erotic, you use a feather, with kinky you use the whole chook! not saying brown chick brown cow joke is bad, it's just ermmmmm

D and the band were were so funny last night.Damien is such a brilliant comedian these days. ;D

Some personal highlights for us:

The huge smile of recognition from D from the stage and the fact that he mentioned " there are some ladies s here we know very well" before giving the audience the choice between " a song with no love and a song with LOTS of love"..Aside: we had heard D rehearsing 22 Stabs (hehehe!) and All I Want Is You.) We voted LOUDLY FOR THE LOVE SONG was fun to hear it again and to point at D!!

Also when Jess Chalker said that D has " the best fans ever". Nawwwwww!

This cannot give you the feelings we felt last night. Maybe a brilliant venue, amazing fun company and Damien's unbelievably sexy, velvety, incredible voice and hot little bod, combined with dynamite stage presence ( btw, D we are LOVING you using the hand mike and holding onto the mike stand! oh my!!! ) plus a kick- arse band and awesome music is the reason!? ;D The atmosphere in the second half of the gig was totally electric, explosive even! So many people people rocking out to the max and singing along with the songs they knew, clapping, stomping and cheering their lungs out! The almost unanimous standing ovation told D that no-one wanted him leave the stage last night.


Musical highlights:

Leah. My god, that arrangement is just stunning! I was in tears again, I adore it so much.

D completely smashed the two big ballads out of the park. Glawz has remarked that he is so much like a trained operatic tenor these days! We can literally see his chest and throat opening to let those stunning notes out!

We were all so glad that Goodnight made it back onto the set list last night! Squeee!

Beautiful, to die for!

Must mention Eric had us screaming when he played a fair bit of Sultans Of Swing spontaneously last night!

Gotta run, it's nearly brekky and check-out time.

Loving all the feedback..it makes my heart sing to hear how well Damo is received around the country.

I am back......my head is still in the clouds though! The show was just fantastic :

Trills and Glawz were right, his voice was just amazing! Leah was even better than Wagga, he is fine tuning and improving like you would not believe! Yes I know no improvement needed!

I got worried when we went in.......the crowd was older, much older than even Wagga! I was worried for "D" particulrly when the white head in front of Glawz had to stick her fingers in her ears in the show !

When "D" came on stage I felt concern, he looked a little worried or not so happy, so did Eric! I couldn't work out what "D' was doing, he was discreetly looking for the girls! When he located them he was off! Smile on his face, direction for his show, almost like he found his security blanket!

At the end of the show when we stood for a standing ovation I nearly couldn't breathe........... the thought in my mind was "For Pete's Sake (polite word for word that was truly in my thoughts) stand up the lot of you"...... and they did ........those that could!

It was amazing......just fantastic.......he is a real showman, and the band amazing!

We got to speak to George and Jess (a real delight) after the show and that was great too! I got to talk to George about Wagga etc and just cleared my mind of a few concerns. Thanks George! Your not a bad bloke ;D And I am a good fan!

Shop opening for "Two Red Apples" went really well, 1st customer said "You had a really big night .......... I saw you at the show last night with your friends, looks like you were having a good time"..........my reply Yes the best! With relief she said yes he's pretty hot isn't he.......phew ! Feedback all really good and she bought a handful of clothes and said she would be back.........just to talk about "D"

Right!!!!.... next road trip I'm taking Trilly's bloody IPad off her and hiding it... she's written all the good stuff, but then again I suppose you other ladies were waiting with baited breath to read about our wonderful experiences. ;D

So basically now that I am home, I can't add much except to say that when Jess said about Damien having lovely fans, she said that one of them gave him some Melting Moments the previous night and they'd been enjoying them!! I felt pretty good

Plugger, We so loved having you with us and wish you had been there for the other shows as well, however you did make it for which we are thankful as you brought along your fantastic sense of humor and great personality. Hope we can do it all again soon.
So glad your customer loved the show, who wouldn't!!!!
