One of my friends sent me an email today and said:- "Bloody judges on that dancing show, are very strict with Damien. Not getting as fair a go as he deserves....." At least I know it's not just us, as comments from outside the forum mirror our thoughts exactly. Let's hope they transform into votes for Damien. I know what you mean Glawz, my mum made a comment on Monday about it too, saying they are treating Damien and Mel a bit rough with they're comments, she said his dance was fantastic considering the music they played for it |

I've been having another look at the TNT tango and I'm just so impressed with Damien's improvement since the fantastic first dance. Did you see his tango footwork - how perfectly aligned he is with Mel and the crisp timing? His movements are forceful when needed and the glide on the floor is smooth. I didn't know what Todd meant during the cha cha cha when he said Damien needed to move his leg through Mel's  But having checked some how-to-dance vids I realise now what it's supposed to look like and Damien has completely fixed that with this tango.  The second major improvement which Todd and Helen should have acknowledged is the huge improvement in Damien's posture... maybe not perfect consistently but if you compare it in the foxtrot then onto the Samba (where he over-corrected) then onto the Quickstep and this week's... it's obvious Damien has really been working on it. The shoulders are pulled right back and head lifted most of the time. I liked that Helen gave a suggestion of how to improve some more as we can see that Damien is willing to still work on it. And for someone without apparently an aggro bone in his body, Damien really took on the character. I think that Mel is not only teaching Damien to dance but is surely helping him discover characterisations which he'll (hopefully) get to use if/when he ever does some drama or musical theatre.  How wonderful will that be?  |

Well said Nuffy I agree, Damien has improved massively since his first appearance on the show and each and every week he keeps coming out and WOWING us and the audience! Just noticed too that on the DWTS OS they have put up the video for this week!!! hmmm 10 guesses who is mentioned and shown the most!  It's saying the RULES HAVE CHANGED THIS WEEK?? 3 on 3 dance... I presume they mean with their partners, so it will be Damien/Mel, Manure/Alana and NekkidNick/Jessica, with the Girls being Lara/Carmello, Hayley/Aric and SingleSam/Brendon....
