We all know that to know Damien is to love him, he is such a special person, and its no surprise that Melanie has found that too. She is such a sweetie, and I think the real "trophy" out of this which they will go away with has to be the friendship and sense of achievement. I am sure they both feel like winners, despite the disapointment. xxxx  Oh, and Hi Glawz  I haven't been on here for ages, been rather busy..  |

I'm so choked up, so many emotions right now. Damien what an ABSOLUTE STAR you are, and such a gentleman, and so gracious. The farewell package was so moving, OMG, I think it summed up Damien's character totally as not competitive to win but to be the best he can be!! How truly he's lived by that in both Idol and DWTS and we've all seen the hours and dedication he's put in and the INCREDIBLE results. Mel was so beautiful and I was just touched and in tears seeing her farewell message for Damien in the piece, and it was so beautiful to see the lovely things she said about Damien we also know so well to be true, he's truly one of the good guys. Their dancing was sensational, OMG the samba has gone out of sight, they did it so well, so cheeky and fun and Damien had the real into it face in the best way, he nailed it! Cha Cha again, fabulous!!! And OMG the freestyle, what can I even say - now THAT was a way to finish - just out of this world!! LOVED it - our Dancing Man proved he ain't no Dancing Fool (loved the song  ) but he's a WINNER in every way! And thanks to the Melbourne gang he also has a mirrorball trophy which he earned - #1! Anyway am rambling and all over the place but SO PROUD of DAMIEN and MEL and so great to see Eils there in the audience, they are all going to be able to let their hair down and have a great party now and enjoy looking back on all those weeks of amazing effort, congratulations guys, because YOU ARE WINNERS!!!

I can't believe he was eliminated before Manu! I saw Damien & Mel's fabulous freestyle and now just saw Manu's and there's just no comparison. :-( I have heaps to read back on... 15 pages! to get what happened wh9ile I've been at the family reunion. If anything else comes out of this is that everyone will see how wonderful Damien is as a participant and partner in any venture. Mel is such a professional with a huge heart too. CONGRATULATIONS TO DAMIEN & MELANIE ON A FANTASTIC EFFORT!!!
