WOW!!!!! The joint was jumping The place looked pretty full again and Damien and the boys were in sensational form The support act was Diana Rouvas, who looks quite terrific as a brunette Diana sang Natural Woman, Loving You is Easier, Songbird, Mirror Mirror, Your Woman, Tuesday, Am I Heading in the Right Direction. This venue was a great size for Diana's singing and people appreciated her strong voice. Black velvet look jacket , white long sleeved shirt, black tie, snug black jeans with belt and buckle, the shiny black shoes. Damien was looking very hawt Kicked off with * You've Got It...he did *Only the Lonely. This audience knew their Orbison and noticed some singing the words Damien talked about the dance routine they had worked out for later.....The Leithal Shuffle Talked about how Kikki now looked at him and had decided he was quite funny and she now "owned" him. Also talked about the Recording of Roy and moved into * Dream Baby Was mentioned that this was the last show for the drummer Aiden Haworth and as he hadn't made any errors, hadn't danced, so he was going to have to dance solo later Mentioned one of the tracks recorded back here and sang *Love Hurts managed to throw in some smexy hip movements with the words 'Eat your heart out Tom Jones' *Working for the Man came next and Damien told a joke from one of the McClymonts about brown chicken, brown cow will leave it up to you to hear the punchline There was also a joke associated with Damien coming back from time in Fiji and landing in Canberra But he did mention how he hurt his neck on Friday and had trouble sleeping so was tired, but Diana came to the rescue as a music teacher and gave hime scales and exercises which helped get his voice back into peak form and oh yes.....it was ;D Diana came back out to do *Blue Bayou with Damien Cesar did his lovely intro and took us into *Beautiful this song never fails to move me I wandered up to the stage and handed Damien a gift and assured him it was okay he didn't quite read it out correctly, so I did it for him...with emphasis on the oooooohhhhhhh hmmmm he thought the pic was a bit suss and could be interpreted as naughty (on a level with the BM undies ) more soon

Damien then talked about a trip to Ireland and a shock death and how he wrote a song from Remember June for the woman, then sang *Goodnight Aidan came out the front to do his butt wiggling dance, but the tambourine he was using started falling apart which had Eric laughing and Damien intrigued at his choice of dance Next *In Dreams and an amazing version of *Leah dedicated the next song to someone for their birthday *Running Scared Then we had the joke about the difference between bird flu and swine flu and Damien apologised for the standard of the jokes...it's the company he keeps (the kids ) a rocking *Mean Woman Blues with sequential hip thrusts (all to the left) and finally a hip swivel and thrust accompanied by a lot of feminine screaming and cheering Eric and Damien were also dancing back andforth across the stage He's certainly dancing with more pizzazz, style and enthusiasm very much appreciated The song that began the association with Barbara Orbison, *Crying, very much applauded and the seat dancing *Handle With Care Left stage Then after much clapping, table banging, stamping and shouting Aiden came out and did a great drum solo, accompanied by a clapping crowd, Chris, Eric and Cesar came out and did a count in for Damien and *Pretty Woman Think a few ladies lost some kilos on this one the guys mainly worked with their hands and finally *Hallelujah Much applause and the guys on stage did a couple of funny bows, almost becoming a dance With encouragement people started standing to applaud The crowd was enthusiastic and very appreciative, although the other side of the room had to do a solo sing after they didn't quite keep up the standard. I thought the audience participation was strong and melodious Had a great group at our table, I had decided to get the seats at the back end of 4 on each side to get better shots and the couples next to us were having a great time and really enjoyed it. Handed out our cards to them to check out the Tour shows and dates and anything they found interesting. While waiting for my friend to visit the ladies, some ladies at the table next to us wanted to know what was on the tshirt, so showed them a pic and handed out another card as one woman's mum was going to be going to Melbourne Had a chuckle when we had the mistimed singalong from up the back in Hallelujah As we walked out Hypermum said hello and Hyper emerged from the ladies and we chatted before I went and talked with George and was trying to promote RJ to shoppers Have thoroughly enjoyed both my shows at this venue, the crowd is enthusiastic, have a great time and join in when needed . They also have had a crowded venue 2NUR plays Damien's music andthey were also advertising the show

Thanks Dawnie, you certainly are very thorough with your reports! How do you remember so much detail? I have enough trouble keeping track of the setlist, let alone taking note of all the stories and banter! Damien must be building quite a collection of "TShirts ala Dawn" by now. So glad the audiences are loving these gigs..but hey, what's not to love? PS.I was replying to Nicki re Halllujah, and have just realized I was in the wrong thread! Teach me to partey all weekend! Haha!

Hello, hello all! It's been a while! Hypermum and I were indeed there last night, had an incredible time, as usual! Great to have seen you there, Dawney! I concur with all that has been said, though I thought Diana's first original was called 'War of the Heart'. I could be wrong, though. Very talented girl. As Mum put it, Damien was in 'fine form'. He's dancing around the stage so much better these days, you can see the extra commitment and confidence in all his moves. Makes for a fun performance! At this rate, we could coax him into doing 'Celebration' - maybe! One of my favourite moments of the night was during Beautiful - he sang the first line and got a huge cheer from the audience, and had such a big smile on his face from that feedback. Yay for the originals! Got a little message from the man as well. There was no signing afterwards, but Mum and I hung around afterwards in a very stalkerish devoted fashion. Eventually Damien came out onto the stage, and we waved to him from way outside the doors. He waved back, and to our surprise came all the way across the auditorium to say hello (we got hugs!) ;D He said to tell everyone he's very sorry he can't do signings after the shows. It's certainly not that he doesn't want to, but because the shows on the tour have been so closely spaced, doing extras every night takes too long and leaves him too tired. I've been assured it's not because he feels he's too good for us now that he's a singing-dancing-writing triple-threat

Thanks Dawn for that wonderful report you are very clever Nicki I agree that Eric's guitar solo during Hallelujah seemed a tad long when I first saw the show in Canberra...however as Trilly said and I noticed during the two Wagga shows it was definitely shorter and more acceptable

Way to go girls!! another great night out! Damien sure is ROCKING these shows!! and I love hearing about these "dance" moves! DWTS sure was great for him, wonder if he and Eils have started lessons yet? Great to see you here again Hyper and so glad yourself and your mum were able to go! isn't that great that D came over and gave you both a hug, what a sweety! Where o where did D get the idea that we think he is too "good for us" now to see us??? It's pretty obvious that the shows are HUGE and the signings would take up so much extra time!! hope he is getting some rest! So can't wait for your videos Hyper! yay!! finally a venue that allows video and photos! Dawn, I'm a little confused about the t-shirt too, what does it mean exactly? great that you managed to get it to him on stage....not like us up here!! our aim and timing is way off!! thanks for the reports and the message from D ;D
