Hi everyone, we just got back from Mt Gambier, it was an awfully long drive, 5 hrs there and 6.5 back. We both had a fantastic time.
Damien was on fire last night, the show started at 6.00pm, after a little hiccup with the tickets, we were all good and ready to see the show. The Mt Gamier theatre was sold out, so that was fantastic, there was a very broad range of ages too, it was so great to hear everyone raving about the show after it had finished
The set list was pretty much the same as all of the other Roy shows, but there was an added bonus of Santa Claus is Coming To Town.
It was lovely when D saw us from the stage, we got that little nod of recognition and later during the show he mentioned the nose warmer, looking at us and saying "wasn't that from Melbourne?" we both sat there shaking our heads saying no. Damien seemed to be looking a bit better and he even was hitting some of those high notes he does so well.
We were lucky enough to have a quick chat after the show, but it was strange walking out of the theatre in broad daylight.

The nose warmer is still a goer!! Fancy Damien asking if it was from Melbourne? Maybe that was for your benefit.

He has a few days off now until the Carols are on this weekend.

WE'RE BACK! ;D ;D ;D ;D
Still on a high and in teh coma (of course). But with a very sore ass from all the driving and pretty damn tired!


Princey and I had a brilliant time, It was well worth the trip.
Considering how unwell Damien was a week ago (still recovering btw!) he was in very good spirits and in fine voice.
Suprisingly, he still went for all the high notes and did them AWESOMELY! He was impressing everyone in the room for sure!


Like Princey said, the audience was a an interesting mix. There were a lot of oldies of course, but also quite a few 30 and 40 somethings.
And, would you believe it, there were some youngin's around my age also! ;D. So Princey and I were happy about that!



The crowd was attentive but also really got into it! Especially at the end. D got two standing ovations!! And I mean EVERY single person was on their feet!
Damien was so wrapped about the reaction, that he sang one more song for everyone (Hallelujah).
The crowd went nuts when he started singing, he actually had to stop and start again cause everyone was going off that much Haha!

I happened to record Beautiful, In Dreams, Leah and SANTA CLAUS IS COMING TO TOWN! (That was a nice surprise) ;D on my trusty iphone!

So many funny parts in the show. All of the band were really rockin' out, being the last show they all smashed it!
Eric actually called stacks on at one stage when Damien mentioned it being the last one of the year!!!


In Leah, Chris and Eric did in sync dance moves together, which was hilarious! I think they planned that surprise, cause D started cracking up!
Damien also mentioned he had doctors orders to take it easy and not do any dance moves what so ever. But he did them anyway!! (super hawt )

Steve did a KICK ASS DRUM SOLO before Pretty Woman, WOW! It's the best I've ever seen him do, honestly.
I dunno if Damien mentioned this at any other shows, but Ceaser is getting married THIS SAT. Awwww Congrates!


We were very lucky to get a big hug and a kiss. ;D Plus a group hug for the sake of it!
Damien mentioned as well as Carols in the Domain, he will also be doing carols in Gosford (spelling? Sorry) next monday.


The whole night was just phenomenal
I was left spellbound and just in awe of our man.
Gah what you do to me Damien!!! LOL.
Plus it was even more special Damien dedicating it to Barbara Orbison.

Nice work with the report Krissy, you say it all so well, I agree with you 100 % the show was spectacular and it was awesome seeing it with you, we did have a great time

Wow now that is a road trip ah girls, now you know how Smiley feels when she drives to Brisbane or Sydney to catch a show!!! unbelievable really! but it's so worth it when you get such a lovely reward at the end of it!!
