Sorry to be late, but I didn't have any internet in Pt Pirie, only my phone. The venue was very nice, and DH and I had the best seats However, when I got my camera out, an usher came up and told me 'no photography' Such a pity because DH had his good camera and we were so close!! starsis and mum were sitting further back in the accessible area, and the woman said to her 'you might as well put that away' when she got her camera out Diana was the support act, and sang among others, 'Natural Woman' 'Songbird' 'Heads or Tails' and 'Tuesday'. Damien came on at 8:45, and the show was on - and didn't finish until 10:30. Setlist: You Got It I Drove All Night Only the Lonely Sweet Dreams Love Hurts Working for the Man Blue Bayou Beautiful Goodnight Santa Claus Is Coming to Town ;D In Dreams (great crowd reaction) Leah (with Chris coming down and playing guitar too) Running Scared Mean Woman Blues Crying Handle With Care Pretty Woman Hallelujah Going Home Wardrobe: D had the velvet jacket, and black shirt, tie and jeans, with boots. All the others in black, Steve with his Kangol cap and Cesar with his hat. No broken strings The crowd was very good, joining in when asked and very appreciative of the music. Damien was, in his words, in 'a giddy mood' and there was lots of fun. He said something about Kikki being born and DWTS, then said he was as stiff as a board, to which Eric said 'that's why you have 3 kids' The usual hip action, to great applause, and then in Leah, Chris came down and picked up D's guitar. Steve was on bass and Cesar had his guitar, so the four of them stood in a semi circle behind Damien. When the song got to the bit after the initial 'Leah' harmonies, Chris and Eric did some choreographed movements with their guitars and Damien actually did lose it - he had to stop, have a laugh, and then say to himself 'From the hut to the boat to the sea' to get his place back This time in his solo, Eric played some of 'Hotel California' and said to Damien 'that surprised you, didn't it?' I felt Damien's voice was still suffering a bit from the bronchitis, and although he did all the big notes, it just wasn't quite as spine-tingling as previous shows. But he did show what a great all round performer he is, and there was a long standing ovation at the end. I didn't notice, but someone else said there were 2, so I don't know which other song sparked one. As expected, there was no meet and greet, although we did say hi to George who was selling merchandise afterwards (Damien promoted it as 'great Christmas gift ideas' )

Oh gosh Kath, sounds fantastic (apart from the no photography of course ) what a shame when you have great seats But a great set list and they all look terrific in the black gear....especially D. They really do have Leah down to perfection and of course the exquisite Beautiful So lovely that the audience were so appreciative and reactive and great you had a mini family get together Oh he is amazing how he sings when he's ill/ has bronchitis/laryngitis especially when he's doing multiple shows Thank you Kath

Sounds lovely! What a shame about the photos, as the one you did post looked fantastic, can only imagine the view with the main man front and centre!! Would love to hear Damien sing Love Hurts live, just love that song!
