If anyone can scan the article, it's in today's S section of the SUN HEARLD newspaper(Page S11). In short: " ...the simple power of a man and his voice was never more evident than on Wednesday night......Leith built a mood that was like a fever - a growing temperature, a mesmeric trance, a warmth that built into a red hot rash of fervour among the 800 fans in the room. People unleashed themselves at unlikely times(obviously referring to some members of this forum ): dozens rushed the stage to dance to "With or Without You". Others were openly tearful during Leith's breathtaking delivery of "Hallelujah" and "Waiting On An Angel". ...At the taxi rank afterwards, a woman turned to me and gasped: "Have you just seen Damien Leith?" When I nodded, she said: "The man at my table had it right...he said "We've just seen the birth of a superstar". " - AIN'T THAT THE TRUTH!

Thanks Sunshine and Dede for posting this. I loved Greg da Corte's comment, ".... He was on Idol sure, but he's an artist." Actually the comments of all four people interviewed were so true including Trent Sutton's "It would make the hair on a monkey's back stand up. He puts the truth in falsetto." Love that! ;D
The gentleman who said "We've just seen the birth of a superstar." certainly has it right. I've been saying for a while now that we are on the ground floor of something huge - Damien Leith, the man and his music!

This is so so moving!!!
I've already posted this on the forum but here seems a great place to post it again:
I just wanted to add something else - how though we love Damien from his kindness in meeting up with us at so many events and his warmth and humour - we are also so privileged. Anyone at that concert last night will be in no doubt that Damien is no ordinary performer - as today's paper said - we have witnessed the birth of a superstar.
People from 8 to 80 were coming up to the stage as he sang, holding his hand - men, women, children - he took their hands as he sang, one person even kissed his hand. They aren't responding to him like fans - this is real affection from an audience - I'm happiest of all to report about last night that Damien Leith is the real thing - we already knew it - now the world does.
