Luckily for me I was able to watch most of the show, although pixilation did occur and at those times I couldn't see or hear anything. Damien was a bowl thief Give it back Damo. Also. I hope someone is able to do a screencap of Damien wearing the goggles during the grater segment. He looked adorkable. I tell you what, there is some really nice food being prepared in the Test Kitchen.

Yes Braffy, he was adorkable.... have to get a pair of those onion cutting glasses and one of the smaller graters, what a saving on washing up! Honestly, Damien could sell me anything Sorry I'm not up to the screencap thing.. wouldn't have a clue. I recorded it and hopefully it worked this time... also recorded last weeks repeat so will love to watch both when I get a spare 45 mins!! Love the way Damien tastes all the food, he'll put on weight no worries

Loved the Onion Goggles!! I will put those on my to buy list, hate chopping onions as I spend more time running back and forth to rinse my eyes than actually cooking, and not good if you've already done your eye makeup! Had been wearing my sunnies recently to do it but still not very successfully - so yes it's the goggles for sure now for me, sold! The spoon idea is priceless! Have never seen that one before! Loved this week's grey springtime in the kitchen shirt Those grey tones really suit Damien! Wow that glazed ham looked sensational!! Another great week on the show

I was watching this while cooking dinner!! Didn't that Ham look superb!!! I wanted slice of it! Yummmy. and that CAKE!!! OMG I bet it was deeee-lishhhh!! Love this show, it's so informative without being too long winded and it has such lovely and simple recipies that anyone can try!! Damien is such a natural at this stuff!! so witteh and charming!! I just wash my onions, and never shed a tear!! not sure about wearing goggles!! ...but if I did, I could just borrow my hubbys safety goggles, they look the same and would probably do the trick!! Looking forward to next weeks show!

Love the piccie Krissy Now we need to put the one from last night up next to it. I was always told if you strick a matchstick nder your tongue with the red end sticking out that the tip of the matchstick absorbs the onion vapours. I have tried it a few times but we don't have matches here and I was using a match from a matchbook so not wite as good as a proper match.

We have seen all three episodes now and have to say that he is doing a terrific job.
He seems so natural in front of the camera these days and would not be at all surprised if several television opportunities will come his way in 2012.
Well done Damien

Just watched my recording of this. Good episode! LOL at all the silly moments - e.g. Damien stealing the bowl, Damien burning his hand on the pot and then doing an exaggerated re-enactment, Damien's little jig as he walked into the kitchen, and the whole 'great graters' segment. Haha, yes Kris, I was also reminded of Damien the chemist! I haven't seen any recipes on this show that I think I would even like, let alone want to cook, except for possibly the lemon cake. Then again, I usually just eat whatever is on my plate, so I probably would eat it all. I like how Damien says after pretty much every Christmas recipe, "I'll definitely be making that this Christmas!" They're going to have a LOT of food, if that's the case. EDIT: Here we go: Damien with the spoon and onion goggles.

Forgot to say how much fun this show was (and I watched it twice ) How funny was D with the spoon and goggles. Would buy the goggles if I wasn't so lazy and buy diced and/or sliced frozen onion Agree that every so often we see the 'chemist' lurking ;D Love the look of a lot of these dishes too. Had trouble getting a copy of the New Idea that week and had to try 3 places as it was sold out
