Are the Leiths staying at your place for their holiday, Roxy? *imagines Roxy setting up the sofa-bed and explaining where the lights are for midnight loo visits....*

It must be awful for D to "sit patiently whilst a couple of producers commercialise his toons"....Still I guess that the Music Industry...(secretly hopes they don't over-commercialise them, yet they are all still an outstanding commercial success for D)

Love that picture! He looks like a real rock star! Hmm... adding more and more originals as he goes on... I wonder if he'll have some new songs by the time he reaches Hobart? Fingers crossed for lack of over-commercialisation too! I don't think Damien would let them get away with anything really nauseating, so I'm sure things will turn out all right.

Karaoke King! Since when? I hope the producers don't commercialise his music to any great extent, that would be sacrilege! It looks like Damien and family won't have to concern themselves about accommodation while they're having a break Brisbane.

"Karaoke King"? This is the problem any Idol has because really, despite Damien's amazing voice, you are in danger of being glorified karaoke if you don't have your own material. The good thing is he's put his own spin on many of the songs, and even better is he actually has his own music.
I hope they don't over produce him though - NOML the single was much more bland than NOML live on Idol that first time he sang it, and his voice was much more powerful on Idol than on the finished single too.
Still, it does sound like Damien is standing up for himself. Thank goodness he won instead of Jess or *shudder* Dean - can you imagine the stereotyped musak they'd be churning out?

Let's see...in one post I pointed out that Damien could be a glorified karaoke machine, said NOML is bland and overproduced and bagged the other two finalists...if that's me on happy pills wait till Mr Canky Pants comes back (in, say, 30 minutes times when the caffeine wears off)!
