Nice report Trilly, what can I say, it was a brilliant night and Damien was gorgeous as ever, 2 friends from work came with me, I gave them the tickets I won, well now they know why I love Damien so much, they are both converts and now smitten with him The setlist was fantastic from start to finish and what a special moment for all of us when Damien mentioned all of the ladies in the front row and dedicated "Wouldn't Change A Thing About You" to us. I loved all of his originals and the covers were brilliant too, Damien feeds off the audience and tonight was no exception, I also enjoyed "Summer of 69" it's wonderful having all of these little surprises thrown into the setlist. I was pleased that I was able to hold myself together after the tough time I've had over the past few weeks. Damien gave me the biggest hug after the show and made me feel very loved he was witty and charming and just wonderful As Trilly said he was very happy and seemed to be having a fantastic night, the band as usual were just phenomenal. Thanks all of me Melbourne Damienites for making it such a wonderful night, I love you all and Damien what can I say

GAWD!! What a week it has been! And honestly I cannot top off the week better then by seeing Damien Live. I just have to let this out first... Like most of you know, It has been a very big couple of months for me with my dancing, and I had to be absent from the forum for a bit to concentrate on what could be the make or break of my dance career. This week, I found out that I got in and I couldn't be more happier and relieved! SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!! ;D It's a big achievement already, but beleive it or not, Damien played a big part in being my inspiration for auditioning and beleiving in myself. So Damien, if you happen to read this, THANK YOU! From the bottom of my heart. Back to the show... DAMIEN WAS ON FIRE!!!! He had this real bounce and energy that I haven't seen in quiet a while, which was so good and refreshing to see. Lots of banter and dancing!! (D and Eric do a mean impression of swan lake! ) Damien actually ran on stage jumping in the air twirling and trying to be a ballerina!! Don't think I've seen anything funnier IN MY LIFE!!!! BAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! Setlist was a good mix of a bit of everything! From WWL to RJ to N&T ;D We loved hearing snippets Live or Let Die and Summer of 69!!! BRILLIANT!!!! is all I can say! My personal fave for the night though was definitely WCAT. Not only for the fact that I simply ADORE this song, but he dedicated it to US!! It was such a beautiful and sweet acoustic version (Just Damien and his guitar! ) It honestly made my heart melt! AWWWWW DAMIEN!!! Other standouts: Maybe Someday! Let Me Be Your Rescue! Goodnight! Leah! Pretty Woman! Beautiful! And what more could you want at the end of the evening then to get a hug and a kiss from the man!! ;D Thank you Damien for being so sweet and such a gentleman as always! Love ya! MELBOURNE TARTS!!! Love ya's too! P.S - Trilly... BUT I DO LOVE LAMB!!! P.P.S - BRING ON SYDNEYYYYYYYYY!!!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D

Bahahaha! Me too Krissy! Great report, kiddo. Absolutely agree re WCAT. I added a little while ago to my post saying it was "pure emotional vocal heaven". So wonderful that he sang it for us. Those little moments of acknowledgement mean the world to us as fans, s don't they? I had been crook the previous week, but was well enough (and importantly, no longer contagious) to not miss this show, keeping my record intact and it was just the tonic I needed as well to complete my recovery. Damien, you are such a beacon of joy and inspiration in our lives. Thank you again.

Great reports ladies, so good that I can't add too much more but I'll try!! Have to say firstly, that once again Damien floored me with his vocal talents and bloody good looks (I swear he's getting better looking - maybe like a good wine, improving with age!) He looked sooooooo good, happy, healthy and glowing!! We loved the personal bits, the sly looks and smiles in our direction and the mention of the tarts... it really makes one appreciate to be a fan of this wonderful man, as he obviously appreciates us. He thanked me for the biscuits which I had given to George before the show, and said that they only had three left and next time I should make more - there were actually about 2 1/2 dozen! Loved the little 'extra' songs... don't think anybody has mentioned a little of "The Final Countdown" by Chris and the boys which was awesome too. Our DD and her DH were there and she said to me, "Mum, Damien is AWESOME!!" Her DH loves him too! I'll bet that anybody who was seeing Damien for the first time live would have to be smitten now - it was such a fantastic, bright show. Just loving the full band, all of them equally talented musos - no need to tell you that they have always been fantastic, but this tour of shows (I include Launc) is showing a tight-knit, thoroughly professional ensemble, who obviously enjoyed what they were doing as much as the audience who were watching them do it! Full of life, laughs and wonderful music. THANK YOU SO MUCH DAMIEN AND THE BOYS.... YOU ARE BRILLIANT!

That is an AWESOME set list! Summer of 69?! I have ALWAYS wanted to hear Damien sing that! I really hope he sings it at State Theatre! Damien singing Bryan Adams. ;D I never thought I'd hear it, but man, it was soooo good! He's simply GOTTA do it at the State! ..as well as more of his originals. Hell, D, just sing for three hours, we won't mind a bit!! Glawzy, thank you, I had forgotten that one!

BRLLIANT, BRILLIANT BRILLIANT. I have seen Damien life quite a few times over the years, but last night was outstanding. His vocals were to die for he is certainly getting better with age. He seemed to hit all the big notes effortlesly. I loved the mix of the set list and so did the audience. He certainly rocked last night and the band are such a wonderful backup they also excelled themselves. He can never sing enough originals for me but the covers with the Damien stamp were also outstanding. Roll on Sydney.

Thanks everyone for your reports. Trilly, you always make me feel like I was there with your colourful reports! I was trying to remember where I had heard a link between Damien and "Summer of '69" before. I think there was an interview with him that asked him about all sorts of favourite things and he said that it was his alltime fave song! :-/When oh when will I see him again?

Nice shots, Glawzy. Love the lighting (and the gorgeous man!) at The Palms. No rose decal this time, but Di gave him some, so all good. Btw, another fan gave D a crocheted blanket for Kikki too. We aren't the only ones who give him gifts, the popular lad. And thanks Deb. Glad you enjoyed. Annie, glad your drama worked out OK. Don't worry, all the missing Damienites, including the QLDERS, will be there with us in spirit in Sydney. s 4 EVA.
