I have been struggling to find the words to write in this thread.
Hyp, I think you have posted a wonderful collection of your thoughts.
I think what I am struggling with the most is that some think it was a rushed album and that Damien doesn't have his heart in it.
That is my dilemma. I know that Damien puts more that 100% effort into anything and everything he does. He was very proud of this album.
I must say though that I am not blown away by the covers. Damien certainly does them well, no worries there, but he is so much better than covers. The best, standout songs on the album are his 6 originals and his version of Leah.
Perhaps the originals to me are the standouts for the exact reason that Trilly was referring to - they are Damiens heart and soul songs and he has the emottion to deliver them how he planned them.
I still like this album. It is not my favourite, but it is not my least liked one either. I can't help but still be in awe of Remember June.
If Damien had more support from his record company at the time of RJ instead of ignoring him then everything would be a lot different now,
Look at all the support, advertising etc that GS gets. If Damien received half of that, who knows where his star would be.
I hope I have worded this the way it is meant to sound.

Braffy, you've done well You should never feel bad about saying what you feel, just because it is not the same as what others think. All of you have voiced very valid opinions and I agree with many of them. Bottom line being, we will always support what Damien does. As Trilly said, we need to be honest for Damien's sake and I really believe that when he is thinking about what to do next, he will take heed of the feedback he has received from DLO members.

Well I've had a read back too, personally I actually love Now & Then, Remember June will always be my favourite and right now I don't think there'll be anything that can top that album. But I have listened to N & T constantly, I can only say there is one cover on the entire album that doesn't do it for me but my mood changes day by day, Damien's originals though just blow me away, I love them all. Damien's music is and has been a godsend for me. Damien is a perfectionist and I think he would put his heart and soul into anything he does, I know he was proud of this album too but it saddens me that his music company doesn't seem to feel the same, there is barely any PR for Damien's music, I just wish that he would have more faith in his original songs and sing them more when he gets the chance too. The music industry seems to be a really fickle one, I don't really understand how it all works but when I see other artists like GS, DG, RLC and even JM getting lots of advertising I just wonder what is going on, why isn't Damien getting the same I think Damien knows that most of us will always support him no matter what, I just wish the music industry would too. Sorry for the long rant but it just alll sort of came out

Looking at that ATC music chart I see some Indonesian language on there, so I looked it up on facebook. It says that ATC is a male based in Jakarta. To me ,I'm thinking it is just someone who is a music lover and is having fun making up their own Top 50 and putting it out there on the web. Not sure if there is any substance to it, but it's nice to know that someone outside of Australia appreciates Damien.

Now & Then is certainly having a roller coaster ride. It has now gone back up to #11 best selling Australian Album. The top 10 selling Australian albums all made the main ARIA Chart. It has obviously been helped by Damien's appearance on DWTS. More TV please Damien, and do some originals pleeeeeeeease.

Yep
Braffy is so right.
Just imagine if this was the case with say an X Factor shot with "Maybe Someday" and what about lack or zero radio airplay.
Damien is not the first one for the radio producers to say "nope not him next please" I do recall they had the very same approach to John Farnham but because of his release of "Your the Voice" they reluctantly after continuing public pressure started to give him some airplay and the rest is history.
N & T still hanging in there without media attention I have not even seen a review of N & T?--Strange.
BTW
My standout album is ROY and if had to pick the next two I would lob for TWJ and RJ and yes CTW is least pick although it did very well.

They will wow the audience, especially with a full orchestra if the chance is there! Even without the orchestra, they are awesome

Deb, what I said was that what we do is to provide feedback via our opinions. It's obviously up to D and Sony if they take any heed, as it should be.

While searching for Now & Then in this week's charts, I noticed that Diana Rouvas - 'I Can't Make You Love Me' is #16 in the singles chart and #3 in the Australian chart. Wow, go Diana!
