Here it is guys! Same format as before, Damien in normal type, questions in italic, the ones he answered only. I'll break it into a few posts, it's still in progress and very long, more than 10 microsoft word pages. I rearranged questions a bit where people responded to his answers and he added a bit more.
A fabulous effort on his part, just brilliant, and some great questions to! There'll be more later, stay tuned, and let me know if I missed anything!

Hope that everyone is well on this lovely Sunday morning. I’ve been up bright and early and now I’m looking forward to having a bit of a chat. Last time we all talked I didn’t get to answer everybody’s questions, so if that happens again, I’m sorry, I’ll try my best.

I am very much enjoying your single 22 Steps and was wandering if you had any creative input for the video clip as you are a talented author in your own right, or was it all scripted for you?

I did have quite a lot of input in the video and actually I had the final say on what video we went with and any changes that it might need. The process was brilliant. The guys in 50:50 are amazing.

It would be amazing if one of the new songs managed to get into England. 22 steps goes to radio in Ireland in two weeks time, who knows, maybe that song might appeal to the UK.

How's it goin? I tried to think of a question that hasn't already been asked so here goes, sorry it has nothing to do with the album but it is music.
You sang a bit of Fairytale Of New York on the NOML idol special, another Irish artist also sang this song *that guy to the left ;D * and said that the song means a lot to them. Can you quickly explain what the songs about *cause I have no idea* or what it means to you?

Fairy tale of New York is a very famous Christmas song in Ireland. the lyrics have their own story but I think for everybody in Ireland, the song symbolises good times and being together with family and friends - that's how it is for me.

Does buying the signed CD being offered go towards your sales figures for ARIA recognition? Why do we have to wait so long for the CD to be released for sale?

As far as I know the presales sms campaign does count towards Aria first week numbers which is great.

I wasn't aware of that but that's great and the name is cool.

I was just wondering, who were your greatest musical influences growing up and when you were a kid what did you dream of being when you grew up?

I got into music very late in life but when I did, belive it or now, one of my main influences was Mario Lanza. I always wanted to be a stage actor - that was my dream.

Wow - he was one of my Dad's favourites too! I grew up listening to Mario on the old stereo. What is your favourite musical or stageplay?

I love Fiddler on The roof.

I think a lot of your fans (definitely me anyway ) would love to still see you be a stage actor as well as what you're already doing, if it's ever possible to fit that in down the track.

Yea, i've had one or two offers so far but it's too early and the demands right now r.are too much. Who knows, maybe next year.

Ah thanks for that. I've been very lucky to have great support out there from all of you and from the general public and because of that, it's helped the transition.

We made 77 minutes of video, all of which was walking so I'd say I walked a lot more than 22 steps... ha

Are you glad you don't have to sing NOML everywhere now that 22 Steps has been released?

Ah NOML was a great song so I still feel very fond of it. 22 Steps in many ways is a trickier song to sing but it's good to have moved on.

I'm sure that I can chat a bit about it. The good news is that it's finished and I'm very happy with it. Bring on August 18th.

how is the hype from this album compared to the last? Are you still dealing with the label of 'Australian Idol'?

it's quite different this time. It's almost like a new artist releasing his first album.

I love all of the gifts and I have a little recording area where I have them all. there's pictures on the walls and raincoats on the speakers... it looks great.

Beautiful is on the album and I wrote the song for Eileen. It's sounding really nice.

Who decides on the album title and has it been chosen yet? And is Beautiful going to be the 2nd single from the album?

Hey there,
i've chosen the Album Title and we'll be announcing it this week - I like it. Not sure if Beautiful will be the second single, we'll probably go a little more up beat. Time will tell.

Ah you guys have given me so many great presents and the scrap book along with all the others have been fantastic. I actually also played the boardgame last week with my nephew.

It's so hard to say - the album is a mix between emotional songs and up beat numbers. I think I'd have to so 'Not just for the weekend' or 'Alone'

Is Eileen recording any more vocals for your songs, like Come to me? Is she still painting?

Eileen has helped out with lyrics along the way but no vocals this time. She's getting back into the painting though and loving it.

The American Market is very hard because it really involves you living over there or a song getting a lucky break. I think right now i'd have to hold out for a lucky break.

Glad you enjoyed Friday. Songbird is on the album and I'm so happy with the recording that I've done - it's come out really nice.

Have you had achance to look at the little photo album we gave you?..and I'm glad you are happy with the album..know we wil be too.

The photo album is beautiful and the shots throughout the day are great. Morgaines shot looks like it was taking at the same place where I did my photoshoot.

To be honest, not a whole lot. We've managed to hold onto the things we loved and other than that, the changes have been nice.

Sorry, I keep missing questions ha. During the next tour we will be recording one of them. It would be great to release it, we'll see.

I would never have given up but I wouldn't have chased the dream anymore - I would have just played for leisure.

How do you feel when you see yourself on TV or hear your song being played on the radio

It feels amazing in both cases although TV sometimes can be hard - beuase it's live anything can happen.

I prefer the Eva Cassidy version - amazing!

We already have out date for the Brisbane concert.....21st October? Is there only one concert for us?

In most cases they normally plan for one but have provision for an extra one if the demand is there. We'll be doing a regional tour in thew new year so we'll be back again then.

I'm going to have one more shot at this..can you tell us anything aboutyour originals on the album..a title maybe?

Yes. I have 9 original songs on the album and all future singles will be from those songs. Songs like The long way back, Shine Like the Sun and I still Miss Us...

No originals from Myspace are on the album - the new stuff is much stronger.

I'm dying to know if you get nervous before a performance? You always look so relaxed. I would love to know how you deal with any pre -performance nerves?

I always get nervous. The main way that i deal with nerves is by warming up my voice and distracting myself.
