2013 DLO PROJECT FOR THE SPECIAL OLYMPICS

Glawz, if you click on the link that I gave for the article you can save the photo from there. The photo isn't as nice as the one that made it into the printed copy of the paper though.

Plugz, we won't know the DLO portion of the tally because we don't know who has donated from here, especially with the ones that are anonymous - including me.

When I ohoned mine through I spoke to them and said that we normally donate to Damien's birthday project under the DLO banner but this year we were donating to the Two Mums and a Mountain page. They thought it was a good idea but no separate entries (DLO) were recorded and they shouldn't have been anyway.

I mentioned to Damien at Tamworth that this is what we were doing this year and he was very happy with that. Unfortunately for us though, we won't have a running total of our donations to date.

The ladies have nearly reached their target fund raising and it is not too late for anyone else to sponsor them.

The article should read Two Mums and a Mountain not the other way around.

Also, the $90,000 raised was by the 14 participants. Eileen and Kathrine raised just on $10,000 which is a remarkable effort.

oh dear, the journalists should be more careful as there's only 1 Kilimanjaro and it was the 2 of them Yes, they did well to raise $10k in these tough economic times and it's great no one had to be taken back due to altitude sickness Thanks for the article Braffy and congratulations Eils and Kathrine
