For the first time in over 6 years, Damien Leith will take to the stage on his own as part of a one of run of solo shows - Damien Leith “The Man & His Music”

During these intimate shows, fans will experience Damien performing songs on keys and guitar. The popular Irishman will be performing favourite hit songs from his six albums and popular songs across all generations in the show.

“The Man & His Music” will feature Leith’s hallmark voice and the opportunity for Damien to interact with the audience with stories behind the penning of his hit songs along with what made him fall in love with the classic cover songs he performs - where it all started on Idol with songs like “Crying”, “Hallelujah” and “Nessun Dorma” to his own original compositions with hits such as “Beautiful”, “Good Night” and “To Get To You”.

Dian and I were sitting at the back end of the front table so, a great view.
Jess Chalker came on at 8:20 and sang, she looked lovely in a very pretty dress
Then Damien came out and started at 9:15 dressed in blue jeans (he reckoned they were tight for those high notes ) , navy check shirt, pink tie and red sneakers and his hair was nicely fluffed and spiked.
This show was virtually the same as the one at Dee Why, with one exception
We had * Catch the Wind,
then * Only the Lonely and after he did a very high and long youuuuuuu the crowd burst into applause and Damien started walking off saying 'thank you very much' which brought laughter and he came back to the front of the stage
Talked about his collaberation and writing on Skype and then sang * Faith in Me yes this is a lovely song and I hope it's on his next album, then
* If Tomorrow never Comes and then exclaimed 'Oh no!!!the pole dancing area's closed off and I was looking forward to it, declaring he had already selected the music for the dancing
He then talked about the crush on Ashlyn, but this time he didn't actually get to kiss her at the wall because the bell went and
* 22 Steps Then talked about his time at school and the first song he sang was Oh What a Beautiful Morning and the first band was called Paradax
His next song was written on a beautiful sunny morning in Ireland
* Sky then in the still Irish stream
* Seven Drunken Nights (a norty song)
* Rocky Road to Dublin and
* I am a Little Beggar Man
Loved how sang rat a tat 'n diddle de dat "everyone together now" haha
then * Danny Boy
* Message to My Girl then talked about how Beautiful was being used internationally in the Estee Lauder ad and he was receiving messages from all over the world
* Beautiful and also talked about the success of Eils on Kilimanjaro then he sang "the wedding song"
* Creep (with appropriate woohoo at the "perfect body" part )
* You Got It then talked about the Roy album before singing * Running Scared
* Lilac Wine
* Everybody's Talking (Damien did some scatting in this)
and as Jess came back mentioned that her nickname was 'ducky'
Jess and Damien then did
* Here Comes the Sun and
* Mad World then Jess left then the much requested song * Crying was sung
Encore * Stronger Than Superman - interesting
* Pretty Woman and
* Hallelujah
Jess and Damien did a meet and greet after the show with CDs and Novels being sold and signing as well as photos. So we were all able to have a chat and cuddle.
A great time was had by all, although the singing left a bit to be desired But when Damien sang not another sound was to be heard. ;D
Was lovely to meet up with Hyper and Hypermum (I'm sure I heard where they were sitting )

Thank you so much Dawn for the report. It is always great reading them, you feel like you are there, and you can just hear Mr Leith and Eric joking and clowning around .

Glad you had a nice time. It is so wonderful to hear the success of "Beautiful" .

I think Damien is getting better and better at being the showman he is. I also really enjoy Eric's input too. They are a great pair, and funny!

Thanks for the report Dawn, it sounds like it was another terrific show, Plugz Eric wasn't at the show last night, he was in Melbourne filling in with Guy

It sounds like a good variety of songs but I hope Damien changes the setlist for today.

There were only 2 of Damien's songs in there and this is the perfect time to play more of them. People want to hear 'The Man and HIS Music.

Apologies to Damien.....there were 4 of his songs. I didn't see Dawn mention 'I've Faith In Me' and I forgot to include 'Stronger Than Superman'. Both are new originals.
