So what i would like to know is are they allowed to do original songs or does it have to be another cover?
If they are allowed to do original songs, I believe it would be best perform them with the Guitar. The piano is an awesome instrument especially good for writing songs, but the guitar has more edge and is more contemporary.
I would love to hear an acoustic guitar version of "Come to me". It would be a winner for sure

So I saw on Oz Idol that he may be doing a Chris Isaak song
If he does I hope it is "Wicked Game" and not "Baby did a bad bad thing" as has been suggested.
Wicked Game will show off his vocal range so much better than the other one.

Hey guys,
Wow - fantastic that Damien is through and didn't even make the bottom three! That was impressive - he has a serious amount of LOYAL supporters! thanks so much to everyone from Damo!! He is beside himself!
This Sunday is acoustic night and Damien is playing his guitar and singing Wicked Games by Chris Issac and then on Tuesday evening that is the original's night and he is singing Sky - as suggested by Sony.. So should be just great!

ah awesome Neski... yeah it's very exciting - think you will love wicked Games, he has arranged it really well and Sky will be fab and that originals night is a non-voting night so can't wait! We are all great thanks, and Damo is particularly feeling great after surviving a tough few days and knowing that he has so much support makes it all the more amazing!

Eileen thank you so, so much for letting us know firstly how Damien and you are after Sunday night - I'm a worry wart and was hoping the awful comments from Mark and Kyle weren't getting either of you down because they weren't worth giving a second thought to and secondly for letting us know what Damien has in store for us in the next couple of weeks. I'm so excited too - I can't wait. I just love his song Sky and my hubby and I keep playing that plus all his songs over and over. I have Sky as my profile song on Myspace. I can't wait to see his arrangement for Wicked Games, I just know it will be brilliant as Damien always does amazing things each week. The next couple of weeks are going to be fantastic - I can't wait. I have a huge smile on my face again knowing you are all okay. I'm happy and so excited now knowing what he has in store. It's wonderful to see all the support for Damien. Australia just loves him.
Hugs and thank you again,
Belinda

Hi folks, and a special hi to Eileen - after a slightly crazed couple of days I am so happy to hear that you and Damien have come through in good shape and that he is aware of the massive support from his growing ranks of fans. I am a newish, but devoted, fan and am so looking forward to Wicked Game on Sunday. Damien will make them eat their nasty words! Best wishes. Trilly.

Eileen thanks so much for letting us know this week's songs! Also, Damien can take comfort during difficult moments that he has many loyal supporters who will support his whole career. I am thrilled that this week's song is Wicked Game. It will cause a meltdown across the country, a perfect song. Most exciting of all is that Damien will be able to introduce his songwriting to the country on Tuesday, singing Sky. This is going to be a spectacular week

Thankyou so much for posting and keeping us up to date, I, along with many, have been worried sick how poor Damo has been (after the freaks bagged him like that) Im sure Damien understands that he doesnt have to win this thing, and that things will take off for hiim regardless of what happens in this comp, he has shown himself now and none of us will forget him & even if it takes 1-2 yrs (worst case scenario) for someone to sign him or to get his own thing going, we are here and will be waiting with excitement and anticipation. Loads of Hugs & best wishes to you both DAMIEN FOR WORLD DOMINATION teeeheee !!!!!

Hi everyone and big hello to Eileen (and Jarvis of course). That is probably the best news I have heard in a long time. Thrilled to bits that Damien's spirits are lifted, there are a lot of people who have a huge amount of faith in his abilities. I can't wait for Sunday night :-)) Actually no to be honest, I can't wait for Idol to finish so I can go and see the Aus Idol 06 (i.e. Damien) live in concert ;-) Take care xx
