I'm not claiming original credit for the 'World Domination' phrase. Maybe instead we can soon call Damien Leith "King Of The World". I wonder if Damien could be doing a couple days promo stuff in London after the holiday in Ireland? Don't worry sunshine, I know you're not - sorry if it came out that way, you use it as much as you like - I was just thinking that I haven't seen Well for a while and I miss seeing her here

yay i told my friends and family about Damien and their reaction was . heehee - now i'm gonna make them buy it - and i was going to email them his songs, because i thought the poor Poms would never get a chance to hear his dulcit tones otherwise. Ahhh...maybe the sun will finally shine over Blighty after all. THE LEITH FOR WORLD DOMINATION

Jim, given that Damien has signed with Sony BMG Ireland (see http://www.sonybmg.ie) for the purposes of the release I think there is a very good chance that it will be slightly different, if only on the album sleeve details. And copyright is a nation based legal right - ie, copyright is separately recognised under different legislative regimes in each country.

I wonder is the UK release just for the UK or for all Europe? And is the Irish release for Northern Ireland as well, or would that come under the UK? Not sure how all the record companies overlap when it comes to that - but it is so exciting because a UK release is really major!

Judging from what I learned from The Corrs documentary, Irish releases are different to English releases. But for charts I think the Irish charts are part of the UK charts.
And this all totally separate to mainland Europe. They have their own charts and releases. And so far it's not released in Europe.

That's brilliant! But isn't that just as he's coming home? Bad timing for him! He could have done some great promo work

I would think that Northern Ireland releases would be part of the UK releases. Northern Ireland and Ireland really do operate completely seperately. I stayed in NI when I was there, and travelled around. But...here's an example: I have a good friend who lives in Galway, who has travelled all over the world...and yet he has never been to Northern Ireland. I gather that a lot of the Irish people see it as being the least desirable place to visit...and yet, parts of it are more beautiful than Ireland.
Something, I was aware of, though, is how much more violence was happenning there in NI then was reported in the international media. I was there just before the first ceasefire, and there were five bomb blasts in County Omagh and the surrounding counties in the weekend before (last protest, no doubt)...yet none were reported internationally. We actually had a bit of a close call ourselves...how easy it is to blunder in if you aren't careful...
