*shudders* Oh my goodness, these stories are bringing back the memories again and again. If it is any consolation Irishscorpio I am able to report that a collapsed lower back disc is actually worse than the pain of child birth. Shocking but true - from someone who has experience both - but as RT says, at least you get the elation of a wonderful new life/bundle of joy in your arms who just LUBS you at the end of labour. Don't quite get the same endorphins out of a morphine drip, back brace and a walking frame... Ah, I bet that little baby is born today .... *exudes positive vibes into the ether* Back to work now... yeah i said today between 9am and 1.55pm hmmm maybe my psychic mind meant 1.55am tomorrow!! *will just keep saying my mind meant something else til i get it right*

Hey Eggsy, you can't keep changing your mind. You said a girl to be born on the 10th May. Oops!

I'm doing the owl duty and there is nobody on DLO except me. It's a bit lonely here, (maybe I should go and raid the bar in the Hut ). Braffy will hopefully be here in a few hours for rooster duty, (when does that girl get a decent sleep?) I'm not so happy to report that everything is quiet on the home front! I so wanted to be able to phone Roxy and relieve the tension by screaming down the phone, Eileen's in labour! I'm tipping that Bump will make his/her presence felt on Saturday. The reason I say this is that I have a houseful of family arriving for lunch on Saturday and I won't have the luxury of sitting down at my computer. I'll be too busy serving a four course lunch (gawd who does that anymore? Me! ) The weather forecast for the weekend and through to Monday is great so that's a bonus! Over to you Braffy.

;D COCK A DOODLE DOOOOOO. Braffy doesn't get much sleep except during her favourite TV shows I keep nodding off. Last night I even missed the last 10 minutes or so of Home and Away and then I nodded off again in Lost . I still think though that I am probably getting more sleep than Eileen. I remember how uncomfortable I was toward the last stages of pregnancy when you couldn't lie this way, or that way and the bump was just so heavy to put somewhere. If Eileen is chasing after Jarvis during the day she will be exhausted. Come on Bump. Think of your poor Mum. I don't want Bump to come on the weekend, especially Saturday. I won't be on Rooster duty as such. Sunday I will be on transport duty so will be available to check in.

What still no news?(Have been away for a few days roughing it at the Hyatt Coolum ) My 3 babies were born all au natural, no epidural only gas and pethidine. My second child was 10 days late but born in distress as the placenta had shut down. he weighed 6 lb 10 oz and got very ill as a baby(diabetes ) and I always wandered if it was from his birth . The other 2 were 8 lb 4- a girl who looked like the Michelin man as she had rolls of fat on her arms and legs and last but not least a 7lb boy who was induced because of blood pressure. The last one I saw the dr at 5 pm and told him not to leave as I was having the baby soon, but he said he would go home and have dinner and return afterwards. I had him in 15 mins.

Thanks Braffy & Andy, I'll be back fairly quickly just unable to walk for a while so I will have plenty of time to sit at my computer and visit here.
