Again, another original song offered by Damien for a while as a download from his myspace site. Edit - www.megaupload.com/?d=UTSEPU2M - Myspace version

This is my absolute favorite of his originals (I have sung big praises for Come to me as well, but I love These Days even more!). I love it! Hooray for this thread. ;D

This one is my favourite! I don't know why, but it is! This and Come to Me were the first two songs of his I heard. I think I like it cos it doesn't have falsetto *shock horror*, it's a bit more understated and lyric-driven than his other songs, and I can really relate to the lyrics in terms of where my llife is now in this song more than any other - except perhaps Fool. ;D
I can imagine a young Damien doing his uni degree and struggling to make music more than a hobby, sending demo tapes to everyone he can think of and feeling nothing is ever going to happen, when I hear this song. I feel a bit like that at the moment - I'm doing uni, seemingly killing time until I get a real job; my future is uncertain, I don't know what work I will be able to get, but I can't do anything until it happens, so I'm 'lying here, waiting for the fall". I get a real strong connection with this song, it really speaks to me. It's so beautiful!

I love this song too, and I agree with hyp that one of the reasons is because there's no falsetto and I do like the lyrics. I downloaded all four of the songs from his my space site in early October, so I've had a lot of time to listen to them. BTW, this was the first music that I ever downloaded from the Internet.

I just downloaded it from Damo's myspace page. Excellent song, much better than NOML. I hope he includes it on the album - it'd make a great new single.

It definitely grows on you braffy. Imagine it with a band behind it - will give it some great depth as it builds thru the song.

Well it is now going through for about the 6th or 7th time. I just keep listening to it while I try to read all the posts.
