OK Magazine Damien Interview

Sorry all! I don't have a scanner, so I can't get this up on screen for you. Maybe someone else more technologically minded can do this?
In short, Damien says this has been a fantastic year. His first love is his family, and music comes after that. He can't believe that he's gone from being a Chemist to a recording artist, all in the space of a year. Damo hopes the album next year will be successful. He's doing all this to secure his family's future.

Mr Leith's words of advice: be yourself! He says he learnt a very important lesson during the 'Celebration' week on Idol - don't let others tell you what to do. Damien says he almost lost Idol that week, because he wasn't true to himself. Surviving the Celebration experience was a definite turning point in his life.

I bought this this morning and scanned it up when I got home. He looks pretty hawt! I wonder if he and Kyle really stood that close? It looks like a bit of a cut 'n paste job to me!
Note the charity bit at the bottom of the interview - I blew it up so people could read it. Isn't he sweet? That's the charity they visited while he was on Idol

Thanks Hyp - my computer has been resisting all my attempts to get the pics up, and the camera thing is a bit dodgy so I feel a lot better that someone has done it properly!

That cover pic is gorgeous - everyone in it looks a bit touched up but it's still beautiful. (Cut and paste job definitely!) And isn't the picture next to the interview adorable?

But, oh Damien... *sigh* you were never going to lose the competition over Celebration. But it's great you realised that your loyal voters you for who you are!

I loved the little charity bits too - went through the whole section aww-ing over them. I think it's such a lovely sweet idea.

Yeah, there's just a little bit too much highlight between each person, which suggests the images were all just stuck together. You'd think they could merge the photos a bit better!
And you'd think, as cute as it is, that they could get a photo of him with the 'tic tacs' not so out there! I love the photo on the cover, but they could've gone to a bit more trouble with that one. I love looking at his smile, it's very cute, but really it's not the best angle to photograph him from.

I really am impressed how Damien's image and the way he portrays himself has developed from when we first saw him in Oz idol. He must have been paying attention to the stylists and all the damienites that drooled over stubble etc. He looks damn Hawt to my "unbiased" eyes.
