Damien too good for idol!

I loved the first idol in Australia but never really got into any of the other idols (apart from bits of when Guy Sebastian was in). But since i first saw Damien sing in this competition, I have really enjoyed all of his performances, especially Nessun Dorma and Never Meant to Fail (this version blew me away, it is very much on par with the real Alex Lloydy Loyd version of which i listened to after re-watching Damien's version and holy s*** it was right up there with it)
The Idol song this year is a thousand times better than what it was last year and suits Damien with his monstrous array of vocals and pitches. If he had of gone to World Idol instead of Guy, I bet Damien would have come 2nd or even first depending on what his song choice was. That world idol was crap anyway with all judges biased to their own singers.
Damien is probably the best Idol ever to come out of Australia and with time, i bet you he will be become as popular as Kylie and other famous singers. He's the idol that I have been waiting for since the beginning of this silly 'reality' show.
He is too good for Idol and if he doesn't win (the outrage will be huge) it will give him more time to write a more thorough and more suitable album than the rushed one the Australian Idol people will make him do just like the last few years (*Cough* Casey Donovan who had a lot of her first album returned due to poor sales).
I wish him all the best on Sunday and hope that he comes away with the contract at the end of it, but if not, don't forget people that he will have more time to publish an awesome album of which i will buy for sure.
