Damien, this may be a bit premature, but I am already intrigued by what you have been saying in various interviews promoting "Where We Land". Don't get me wrong, I adore your love songs but, if it's a direction that you want to go in, I would love to hear you do edgier, more alternative songs, and more acoustic, as well. I quite enjoy "Fool". I, for one, will put up my hand if you want to see what your fan base thinks of any such songs. Very noble of me, don't you think?

Hand up here, too ,Damien. ;D I am loving WWL, as you know, but am totally intrigued by the idea of "heavy and alternative" songs also. See what you've done? I would be fascinated to discover that side of your writing, so if you feel like you can include some of them on your next album, know that they will be appreciated here. ;D

Same here! I reckon you should lose the commercial obligations, go for something totally creative and out there. Though I love the album version of Beautiful, I still prefer the version you did at the concerts. I want to see you release an album with no restrictions and with as much input as you can manage - from the sounds of things you weren't completely in charge of the reins this time around, you had to play it safe. We wanna hear edgy and acoustic, I think Cold Cold Heart are a step in the right direction, along with your older originals like Fool, Who You Are, These Days, Bigger Plan. Where We Land is great, don't get me wrong, can't get enough of it, but we know you can still do better

It's all good stuff Damien - everything you've written (that I've heard you sing). ;D Release the songs you like and I bet I'll love them too.

I'd imagine a thread like this to a musician would give quite the same feeling as a mother gets after just having a baby when the dreaded, "So. Having any more?" question is asked.

P.S.
Dear Damien,
I think the next album should be produced with a certain Mr Justin Timberlake by your side.
Much love, Oz

This album hasn't even reached the charts yet, and we are talking about the next album. If this album charts really well, (and it should) I'll rephrase that.....IT WILL. ;D then Damien might have to decide where to go with the next one. I'm with you Braffy, I'm very happy to listen to this one for awhile yet, and no, I don't want to wait another 9 months for the 2nd one either...(it's bad enough when you are pregnant and waiting : I would much prefer a single to come out VERY soon though off this album, to help promote it further. Before the November Concerts would be a good time, so that there will be more airplay, hence more tickets sold for the concerts. I'll be happy with whatever he decides to do. I love this album alot and think he has done extremely well with it. I'll enjoy this one for awhile longer before I think about what he should/could/would do with his next one ;D
