Synposis of Damien's forthcoming novel, One More Time, to be published in October 2007 by Harper Collins Publications. This is no ordinary holiday…
Sean is in Nepal on a trek through some of the most beautiful – and
dangerous – country in the world. His path takes him not just to the
spectacular Annapurna mountains, but deep into territory held by Maoist
guerrillas determined to overthrow the Nepalese government.
Yet the local people are friendly, the air is clear, and it’s easy to become
accustomed to the national dish of dhal bat for every meal.
With each step, however, Sean’s thoughts turn towards home and his family in
Dublin, and it becomes clear that the obstacles he faces are greater than the
threat of guerrillas demanding ‘donations’ and the occasional stubborn
travelling companion.
Why did he leave Ireland so hurriedly? Why didn’t he tell his family where he
was? What makes his guide, Maila, look at him so strangely? And what about
the beautiful Serena, who has inspired him to take this journey, last seen on an
idyllic beach in India?
As Sean travels through Nepal, events run out of his control, and to survive he
must find the courage to confront his secret once and for all… |

Thanks dede. Hmm....let me tell you it is not easy to become accustomed to dhal bat for every meal...I spent three weeks on the Annapurna Curcuit. That and smokey-tasting boiled water. And even if you eat something different, like fried rice, it still tastes like dhal bat.  Will be great to read this book, can't wait. |

I hope the blurb for the back is a bit more gripping..........
AND I hope the HarperCollins (sic) rep comes through with a reading copy for me soon!

Sounds intriguing..secrets, huh?  .Interesting!..although not my usual form of preferred literature, I'm definitely going to read it. Now, no-one give the ending away when you do, OK? bwah!  |

Wow, that's a plot and a half!   I'm looking forward to this. It'll be nice for once to see a book that's written by someone genuinely interesting and not overrated fantasy for pre-teens getting attention. |

Is this book based on a true facts and experiences??...because I'm going to be reading this with Sean being Damien and the beautiful Serena as Eils.... I just know I will whether it's fiction or not!! Sounds intriguing though |
