Hello fellow Damienites For months now I've been wanting to put an archive site together for DLO. A place for all the information without the comments and chit-chat to be archived and viewed by not only "Damienites" but Damien fans in general. I've finally put that site together, but now I need some volunteers who can help keep it updated and alive. I've already called upon the help of Shimmery to keep the calendar up to date, and GJ and Megan have both said they'd help with the actual archiving (thank you all, ladies!) - but we need more help! The archive site can be found here: www.damienleith.oz-expression.nu/dlo/(Big thanks to Megan for allowing us to use her banner!)All updating will be done through a web based WYSIWYG system so only very basic HTML will be needed (if any at all). So if you'd like to help and honestly think you'll be able to both dedicate time to updating* and update without needing too much technical help, PLEASE VOLUNTEER! ;D *Updating = Transferring all Damien information posted here over to the archive site. Articles, Competitions, News.. and whatever else comes up.Over time I plan to add member profiles as sort of a "member of the month" type thing where we'll learn a bit more about each other via a questionnaire or something, but for now it's just a place to store information. I think I'll request that this all be talked about here in this thread rather than via PM, so please don't contact me that way otherwise I'll lose track of who has said what. I'll be here at my desk waiting to hear from YOU!

What a great idea Oz...and the page looks fantastic! Unfortunately I don't have time to help out as I am flat out with all the kids and keeping up here but wanted to say what a great idea it is. Thank you to you, Shims, GJ and Megan for doing this.

Wow!! The site looks absolutely fabulous Oz, good work!!! I don't think I have the technical capabilities to help, or the time at this stage to learn how to. Maybe next year I will be a little less busy.

Looks great Oz - I often have trouble finding an article or pic I know I have seen somewhere and this should make it a lot easier. Like Tina, I don't really have the technical knowhow (or time ) to help out - sorry Hope you get plenty of willing helpers.

It's a great idea Oz - this place can become a bit of a rabbit warren! If you're going to back date the archive, I don't evy the person with that job! The site has a great interface too. Maybe one day you can sell it to SonyBMG

Thanks Carla, Tina, Womby, Roxy and Zoso. ;D Once we get a list of updaters on board and sort out who can take care of what, things should start running smoothly and the site should get nice and full with information in no time. Tina - I'll check in with you next year! LOL Zoso - You're an absolute ratbag. And Mysterri, thank you! I'll PM you with the details ;D

Thanks Oz, you do that!! We're selling up and moving in the next few months, so who knows, once I've decluttered my house and life through moving, I might have heaps of time next year!!

I can help out too as long as you tell me what to do as I'm a bit of an idiot when it comes to these things.

I'd love to help, but I'm like Womby with the lack of technical knowledge. I'd probably lose information.

Thats a great idea Oz........... would love to help but...... I am not technically minded. If you have any "simple" jobs though, I would be more than happy to help out.
