Damien's Birthday Project for Charity - JAN 18

I think this is a great idea.

I mentioned to my mother that you guys were thinking of doing something like this, and she suggested that something nice to auction would be a signed painting/drawing of Damien - like the caricatures they did on Idol, only... better. We know there are loads of talented Damien fans who would be able to produce something, so I thought I might just throw that idea out there.

Thanks for all the support for the idea I think we should be able to do something really special for charity this way. As soon as we hear any more we'll post what's happening here - this was a busy week to initiate the idea but as the situation arose it was good to discuss and start thinking about it, that's for sure

Does anyone know when their wedding anniversary is? Or Jarvis' birthday? (that was recent, I think) I think it would be lovely to send them something for those occassions too.
As far as charity goes, I remember the idols visiting some kids, Damien went down a slippery dip in the clip and they had a cake shaped like the Idol logo. We could donate to that charity perhaps in his honour?

I've heard back from Eils regarding the charity and am just going to ask her permission to quote her letter for the board. Anyway, she loves the idea, she and Damien have picked a wonderful cause and it looks like we can get going soon Will post back here as soon as I can.

This is a fantastic idea. Sorry I've been away lately, it's been busy my way, but I'm back in full swing. I can't wait to hear what charity etc Eils and D have chosen. This is a great way to celebrate Damien's birthday. If there is anything I can do to help, please let me know.

Of course, this is the busiest possible time to be writing to Eileen so haven't heard back from the 2nd letter yet, but as soon as I do will put more info up. I'll put up the proper address and person to contact for the charity and also a cover letter which will be the same for all of us so that it will be easy for the charity to process all the letters coming from our site.

In the meantime, please continue planning or budgetting any sorts of donations you may wish to send, we're definitely getting this started soon and from what Eileen has already said, it's all systems go
