Belinda, the songs are brilliant aren't they? I am with you, I would have loved lots lots more. An entire CD of D singing Christmas songs....swoon! I absolutely love the 5 we have though, just being selfish and wanting more!

I have to admit though, and I think this is a good thing, that I actually like the one he wrote with Eils - This Christmas to the others. I don't know why, I think it is the way he sings it. I really love it.

I do too Roxy...I love the huskiness to his voice in this. It's something so different and yet it suits the song so much. Awwwwwwww *sigh*....just adore This Christmas. I do love the others but.....that one is special

OH good. I was worried I was being a bit negative. I'm not usually one to listen to Christmas songs unless they are the rocky types...you know, like rockin around the Christmas Tree, and Santa's coming to Town. I do like some of the more traditional ones, but much prefer the jazzed up ones. Party animal that I am! So This Christmas is great, and will go towards my collection for sure ;D

OMG, I love "rocking around the Christmas Tree". One of my ALL time faves is Jingle Bell Rock to be honest. I do love the slower ones too but I love the upbeat rocky ones too. Would love to hear D do a version of Jingle Bell Rock or Sleigh Ride or Santa Claus is coming to Town

I now have my copy of the WWL Christmas edition. OMG, I have tears in my eyes. I'll Be Home For Christmas reminds me of my Dad who's now in heaven. It was his favourite Christmas song. I absolutely adore This Christmas, the lyrics are so beautiful and heart felt. It brings tears to my eyes but then I end up with a happy little smile on my face. O Holy Night is sublime and I still have goosebumps! Silent Night always brings a tear to my eye but to hear Damien sing it is nothing short of surreal. Damien, congratulations on a brilliant Christmas album and the bonus is having one of your own compositions included on it.

I played it as soon as I got in the car... mmmmm it's been on ever since. I've been through lots of changing Christmas traditions. With "This Christmas", Damien really expresses the confusing feelings I went through... the craving for reliving the best of memories while embracing the bright and exciting new life. His voice really has a different quality when he sings "Everyone is changing..." and "Let's spend this Christmas..." - it's like the raggedness you get after crying ... or nearly There was a song on WWL where I think he used that voice too - a part of ISMU? I'll have to check. Such a touching song and a beautiful melody. I also loved the rythm of The Christmas Song and I'll be home for Christmas. All 5 songs are really peaceful - sooo lovely and soulful. It feels like a coool Christmas this year already

Nuffy, I love the tones in his voice in This Christmas. You are right, there is a sadness there, it's beautiful and so heartfelt. I played this a few times today as we decorated the tree. I can't see me tiring on these songs at all. I wish there was more, but I am so happy with the 5 that he chose and of course This Christmas is extra special!
