He didn't do Celebration but then again, I guess we were a kinder audience to him than Sydney or Melbourne and didn't insist or whinge when he laughed off a request to do itHrmph!  Thanks for the link Dede.  Hrmph too, oz!.. Just can't let that go without a challenge! Melbourne audiences didn't whinge or insist..they"suggested" and one night he accepted, another he declined, and we happily accepted his decision..so hrmph, again.  Yes I think "encouraging" is a much better word than Insisting or whinging!  |

Hi Sandy, Sorry if you felt everyone jumped on you. I think you will find Mark has made some big fans on this board as many forum members actually got the chance to see him more than once. I don't think they meant too much offense, sorry if you felt that. Would hate for you to feel unwelcome here. I think they were just being defensive for Mark's sake and you touched a big of a nerve. Very glad to hear you didnt miss any of Damien though. Probably a good thing Mark was the support act in that case   Ok, Ok everyone. Maybe it's the fact that I don't go to enough concerts BUT the ones I have been to have clearly advertised that there is a support act & who it is. That was more my point. As we were on a limited time schedule I would have appreciated that fact being advertised & then I could have made plans accordingly. Nothing against Mark personally (I wouldn't do that) but I was just so super annoyed after busting a boiler to get there by 2pm for Damo. Wrong. Yes sorry Sandy but my remarks were not meant as derogatory to you - each to his own as they say  I was merely commenting that Oz the Obsessed might be disappointed with your lack of enthusiasm for our Mark  |

Yes, sorry Sandy. You have been a member for a long time but I notice that you haven't done many posts. These posts have probably been in the last couple of days. If you had been on the board in the lead up and during the concerts you would have become aware that Mark Wilkinson was Damien's support act and that our Ozbrat has taken quite a liking to him. Your comments and our replies were aimed more at Ozbrat than you. It is a shame that you missed Mark, but I also had the opportunity to see Damien and therefore Mark 3 times. At the first concert I was probably similar to you in that I was wanting Damien. I was pumped. The 2nd and 3rd shows I thoroughly enjoyed Marks set. If you get the opportunity again give Mark a go because he is a really nice talented young man.  Please stay with us and join in and get to know us. Ozbrat isn't such a mean old bag either.  |

Ah, the beauty (NOT) of the Internet. :-\ It's hard to show what your real reaction is to something, so my apologies, Sandy, if you felt mine and a few others replies were a bit mean etc. As Braffy just said, I've been going on about Mark since I saw him, so Braff and Wombat were just playing the "ooh OzBrat's gonna open a can o' whoop ass on you!!" game No real harm meant! And my reply was just a quiet reassurance to myself if anything So again, my apologies. Nothing against you though - it was just a bit of fan girl silliness taken the wrong way  |
