is it just damien on stage
or does he have a band as well?
also obviously flash isnt good (*blinding!*)
did they actually request no flash?
some places are really strict about cameras....

Hi Shadow, Damien does have a backing band. His support act is the delightful Mark Wilkinson who entertains the audience before Damien makes his appearance. No, I don't think the venues have requested no flash, it's just a lot easier on Damien if he doesn't have hundreds of cameras flashing in his eyes. My daughter is going to phone me when Damien is singing so that I can hear him.  I've got butterflies in my stomach! I'd hate to think what I'd be like if I was actually there!  ;D |

SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEE My daughter just phoned and held the phone up while Damien was singing Wicked Game! OMG!! He sounded amazing. I have tears in my eyes. She said he is absolutely gorgeous. She cut the call short because she is going to video him now.

Oh gj, how I wish! I'm running the full gamut of emotions here. Wishing I was at the concert with my daughter and granddaughter and kicking myself that I live in country NSW far away from everything. By the same token, I live in a beautiful part of Australia and I wouldn't change it for quids! What to do? Talk to you all and take pleasure in the stories of your own encounters with Damien, that's what. ;D I've given my daughter strict instructions on what she has to do but I'm tipping that she won't remember a thing I said once she sees Damien performing live. |

I got so excited on Thurdsay that I almost forgot to throw the flowers --- and once reminded by BG -- I reached in the dark to grab them --- but grabbed my plastic bag with sovenirs and almost chucked that up at him, probably would have knocked him out with Mark Wilkinsons CD ---- luckily I realised just in time.

I'm really interested in the Singing Party thingy that was mentioned. I would really love to go to that and I've told DH that I'm going! Don't know how, but I am!!
Roxy has a photo of me that she is going to take to the concert in Brisbane on 2nd March. She was hoping to get Damien to sign it for me and also have him photographed holding my pic. Since the collapse of the backstage pass competition I don't think she'll be able to do all of that for me. Disappointing for everyone but not to worry. I just want to go to the Singing Party and meet Damien and the Damienites. Gawd, it's not too much to ask is it? ;D

There is a very talented band backing Damien, lead guitar, bass guitar, drums and keyboard. Damien also did an acoustic set during the 2 shows I have seen so far. No one requested "no flash" at star city or canterbury, just common courtesy really, and there is enough light from the stage lighting to take decent pics, and you're right some places are really strict about camera's and it usually the venue that makes the decision, not the artist. |

OMG OMG OMG!!! I just heard Damien singing Crying! OMFG! His voice is so powerful even over a mobile phone. And what do I hear when the song is finished, My daughter screaming her lungs out! Squeeeeeeeeee!!! |
