Now, for the musical bit: Set List As usual Wicked GameIf Tomorrow never ComesMTMGBeautiful..someone yelled "put it on the album, Damien*  High and Dry..(radiohead) Crying..yet another sublime rendition of "the hardest song I have ever sung". Standing Ovation from the audience.  Hallelujah(acoustic).Reverential silence, followed by wild applause. Come to Me..once again, perfect and tear producing. Waiting On an Angel.(acoustic)..magical. A personal highlight. Sky..rocky Never meant to Fail..sans power notes, but still great. With or Without You singalong with Fall at your Feet medley..a particular fave of Selestial's NOML extended encore Nessun Dorma..absolutely gobsmacking tonight! Unchained Melody..with interruptions from overcome fans who rushed up for a kiss or hand hold..brilliant!!! |

The witteh banter was great tonight, with a less vocal, but highly appreciative audience. Very loud participation in the singalong and in general, joining in whenever the lyrics were familiar, except when respectful and adoring listening was required. Sadly, no Irish jig tonight, nor band dancing..awww..I think we all miss Gordo's (the drummer) ass wiggling ! LOL! Damien's vocals tonight were perfection. More intense somehow and totally mindblowing. He was in the zone!.and the audience lapped it up.. NB.. an older lady sitting in front of me bopped along to every song, with a huely satisfied smile. Once again, the audible gasps from the crowd to the first notes of Nessun Dorma conveyed their appreciation.  |
