Beautiful and well presented ---- you are such a professional --- cranky pants will love it......... Little variation there from the previous night - as Damien is a real musician I would expect to see him mix up the set list as he gets more original material and establishes his fan base. On this short tour he really is playing to a majority of people who want to hear the Idol material, but that will change. Damien has such a vast array of songs to call upon from his pubbing days that he's bound to make changes. Agreed, cranky pants, I think it's something of a dilemma how many originals to use on this tour, with the audience expecting Idol material. However, I think the originals he has sung have all gone over well, and will make acceptance of an all-original album easier...from an expectation POV. I can't wait for it!!! I love his own stuff. ;D

Ah, trilly summed everything up perfectly, there's not much I can add about the show. It was so un-premeditated that I attended the show last night, THANK YOU TRILLY. I was less anxious about everything and just allowed myself to purely enjoy the music (helpful that I'd had time first to go home and have a shower after work). It was totally unplanned and I feel humble about it. I just want to add that during Unchained Melody (the last song) - a couple of women went up to the stage and held out their hand for Damien, whereby he would grab them. One or two got a kiss! By the end of the song there was a LONG LINE OF LADIES in the aisle leading down to the other end of the stage wanting to touch him. So by then I had summoned the courage myself to go up to our side of the stage, where Damien was now walking towards, i held out my hand, and he walked straight up and took it ! Trilly being the tart she is was next to me and grabbed his arm with both hands. The lights came up and, as trilly said, we had no initial intention of going backstage. The conversation kind of went like this: "Now, we're not going to be pushy and seek out Mark - we're going to let Damien relax after this show and that he should not have to worry about meeting fans....oh, there's Mark just standing on the stage there looking around at us... and trilly just asked non-insistently the question, and Mark said yes right away. It was a lovely experience. oh how lovely, girls! I'm so happy you had such a great time Selestial & Trilly! I am so glad you got to go see another show and did the "mesmeric trance" and that was fantastic how you were so well looked after!

As a final comment on D's shows I attended in Mel, an interesting thing is how they were all slightly different. Not just the set, but the vibe also. The first one we were transfixed by the pretteh right in front of our eyes and every note, but probably couldn't really appreciate the audience reaction from where we were, but they were obviously enjoying it immensely..(not as much as we were!) The second show was much more freeflowing, and Damien was in an incredibly funny and spontaneous mood..magic!..not to neglect the music...wooohoooo! Danny Boy was unbelievable off the cuff! The third show had a more intense feel, and the most gobsmackingly superb vocals, but still lighthearted and absolutely endearing. As you might guess, I am an even more besotted fan than before. Please, dear Damienites, if you have the opportunity, you must hear and see him live. I know I'll never forget it.
