Oh well, I think trilly and I then should go down to the Crown Hotel or wherever they're putting him up, and give D some moral support and company...

Have just come online. Damien's performance was absolutely beautiful and touching. I do think they should of shown the tribute first and had him sing after and not mixed the 2 but yes very moving.
I like Avril and love the new song but I found her performance tonight quite average and her back up singers sounded mega dodgy ha!
I find James Morrision boring, so don't have much to say about his performance.
Why is it that half the time the worst show wins? What about Idol, The Chaser, Spicks And Specks etc? Anyways I'm glad Home And Away did well as usual (yeah I'll admit that I love Home and Away haha). Kate Richie definitely deserved the gold, she's great. It was also good to see Rove win a couple of awards.
Hills and Hughes were hilarious, they're both awesome!
End of ramble.

What a special performance from Damien, just a shame we didn't get to see more of him.
Even my husband said, they picked the right singer to do the tribute!!

Steve Irwin was a heaps cool guy. I liked what Terri said, that was really nice. And what's the name of the singer of the song they had in the background when they showed the clips of Steve? She sounds like Genevieve Little. I sooooo agree with you that the Genevieve Little sounds a bit like the singer from Evanescence.....I was just thinking that the other day......and yes Steve Irwin is a legend!

The bit with Billy Thorpe and Damien was really awesome, there was a part where it looked as though they were singing together. And if I may interrupt the lovefest for one shallow moment... *sulks* I wanted to see the Chaser boys up on stage... Yeah, Spud, that Evanescence song is different to a lot of their stuff... Kami, I agree, I sooooooo wanted the chaser boys to win....I have a massive crush on Chas (did I just say that outloud ). It sucks that crapola show won. The Chasers, Spicks and Specks and the Glasshouse are all about a hundred times better than that other crap thing.....anyways.

Fifi Box reminds me of 'Thank God You're Here' and 'Dancing With The Stars', no wonder I don't like her that much lmao.....Is she meant to be funny? Adam Hills and Dave Hughes are funny, Fifi Box.....not funny!

And she was quite good on DWTS - I wouldn't have minded if she'd won. To be honest, she did better than I expected. I thought she'd be under the podium in hysterics as soon as that NCIS guy said a word ;D

What can I say that hasn't already been said? Damien's performance tonight was truly beautiful and oh so spiritual. It was an honour for the "Irishman" to be chosen to laud those in the Australian entertainment industry who have passed on. Damien was chosen from many Australian entertainers to lend his voice in tribute and farewell to those well known and not so well known Australians and I feel so proud of the "Irishman", who is now an Australian citizen after all! Guy Sebastian and Anthony Calea were both sitting in the audience but didn't grace the stage. I wasn't the squeeing fangirly mad thing in front of the TV this evening. I sat there with tears streaming down my face as I listened to Damien sing and watched the images of Belinda Emmet, Billy Thorpe and Steve Irwin on the big screen. I can't even recall what Damien was wearing! What I find so poignant is the song itself. Waiting On An Angel obviously relates to the passing of someone who is 'waiting on an angel' to carry them home. In the other extreme is the notion that Damien is waiting on his new child to be born any time now, he is waiting on his angel. The circle of life is a beautiful thing. I haven't watched the Logies for years and I must say that I enjoyed the show tonight, especially after the MTV fiasco! It was so refreshing to see the earthiness of our Aussie entertainers, to hear the Aussie humour that only we understand and lets face it, we Aussies are a good looking bunch and don't frock up too badly. And our women don't all speak with squeaky voices! ;D OK, I've had my waffle, I'm off to bed.
