I should be available to volunteer for that night. I know the lady in charge of this particular group. Maybe she will get the schoolboys to volunteer again.

"Tickets are $120 per person (table of 10 $1,200)."
That's one hell of a discount for getting a whole table together!

Oh cool, my best friend is friends with a guy in the Barker band!
The guy said he'd heard something about this but they have 4 bands so he might not be involved.

I came so close to being at this event. I was discussing with another school mum at Master 17's rugby game various events surrounding our boys this year. I asked her if her son went to the formal. She told me he had. I then asked her if she had ever seen the venue where it had been held. She answered no but she was supposed to have gone there last night (Friday) but because she was unwell they didn't go. I then exclaimed you mean the Special Olympics dinner? She said yes. Oh No I cried. I would have gone to that. Damien Leith was performing there and I love Damien Leith. She then said what a pity, because the tickets were paid for and I could have had them. So, so close

oh no, so sorry you didn't know about that from your friend earlier, Braffy, I thought you had planned to go to this from your other post above. Did anyone from the forum go? Would love to hear how it all went and which songs were performed.
