Thanks for the link GJ as I missed taping this show. Loved the interview and the performance of 22 Steps. He is so good live , sigh  . Is there any way to make the photos from the interview larger? I am sure Astro will be screen dumping tonight.......she wont be able to control herself......... |

That's the best Damo interview I've seen in a while!  Larry is great, go him and D cracking jokes together!  Loved the photos - we were treated to Damien in a singlet  , Damien and Eils in the mountains, outside the Taj Mahal (romantic!) and dressed up as pirates!  he so put that one in there just for us! That was brilliant! He looked like he was having fun, and so did Larry, actually ;D And I am in love with the acoustic 22 steps, it was so beautiful, i love how he tweaked the tune in the second verse, and how he gradually built it up, great guitar playing and awesome voice, every time he hit a high note you can hear it echo! ;D Can we get an mp3 of this? Was anyone actually there? I'll mp3 but into a secret thread as its not released yet........ |

just poking my nose in again because I forgot to say that I love teh purple velvet jacket and we are going to have to give it a name!

Thanks simon. ;D Another male! Yay!! umm, I know winRAR, but what's VLC and where do I get it? VLC is an excellent media player. Sometimes my HDTV rips only work properly in VLC.....it also allows you to take snapshots of any video playback. WMP11 sux....eom. |

I taped the show this morning and just finished watching the Damien bits then!  It was exciting because I watched the performance, then started reading this thread and found out there was an interview too! ;D So then I found that part of the tape and watched it.  I loved the acoustic version of 22 Steps,  it was as good as the recorded version, even though it was different (different in a very good way  . I got excited when I was rewinding the tape to the right part, because I pressed play to see where it was up to and I saw Damien singing and right before I pressed rewind again, I heard him sing a word that sounded like "us" (but was probably "house" or something), and I was like "OMGOSH HE'S SINGING 'I STILL MISS US' AS WELL!!! But then he didn't.  But still 22 Steps was awesome, and the interview was really good as well. The photos they showed were very nice too. I thought it was funny when Kylie said "You realise you have to write a Song For Jagger now don't you?" and Damien was like "I already have!"  Larry and Kylie seemed to really like Damien, which is heaps cool. I haven't watched that other video from yesterday yet, so I wasn't prepared for the lack of teh curls (even though I had heard they were gone ), and so when I first saw Damien I went "EW!" before I could stop myself.  But it turned out to be just the light that made his hair look bad, because when I saw him in the interview his hair looked good. (But it still would have been much nicer with the curls, *hint, hint* D!  ) EDIT: Hehe, after I made this post my post count was 20 22 (Steps). |

Am I the only one who likes Damien with the shorter hair? I prefer to keep my hair very short! Damo is so comfortable now in interviews! Next - live radio performances from tomorrow. Remember to tune into Kyle/Jackie O on 2DAYFM Thursday morning. |

Thank you so much everyone who tirelessly posts links, vids, mp3s and all the media articles and updates...it means so much to us folk who miss these things! And FINALLY ...now I get 22 Steps. Really beautiful version! I really hope that Damien will consider dping some small live acoustic gigs - I think Guy is doing some in Sydney soon, I would LOVE to see a night in a small(ish) venue with just D and the guitar and maybe a few invited guests. And great to see some new interviews..I think we all tired a little of the post Idol interviews with the same questions! He looks happy and relaxed ETA: OMFG PIRATE!!!! |

I will have to wait for DH to isolate the interview and song, but gj is right, I will be screen capping as soon as I can........
BTW, I love the hair, not a fan of any kind of long or longish hair on men.

He sure looked great and sounded wonderful....siiiigh acoustic and with high notes Really liked the pics too. Yes they all seemed very relaxed and happy. Nice that he's wearing those complimentary dark colours . He must have also worn those clothes to the NXFM gig, they were stroking his jacket.........so was he lol , sounded kinda funny when they were talking about it ;D |
