Dawn, you would need to be on the 3.02 from your local station. It is right near Martin Place Station. The show starts at 6 am and it would depend if it was an outside performance or an inside one. Last time, Carla and I were there first just before 6.30 and Womby and BG joined us there just after 7. That was an indoor performance. We had 'window' position. I went in with Miss 16 for Delta (outside appearance) on the train I mentioned to you. Got there right on 6 am and we were 4 people deep from the outdoor stage. Then next train available is from the station down the track and it wouldn't get you into Sydney terminal until nearly 7. You would then need to change trains etc to get to Martin Place or Wynyard.

Last night I asked him if he would be doing concerts in Ireland, and he said it's very unlikely because he will only be there for a short visit. That's disappointing for the Irish s and for Damien and his family. I hope he gets time for a longer visit some time next year. So maybe he won't have left for Ireland till after the 18th. But he'll do one in Noeleens lounge room for the damienites, surely? OMG, yes please!! That's awesome about him singing an Xmas song - it'll be just gorgeous. The 18th is my brother's birthday too!

You would be surprised how busy that train can be. My Master 20 catches it every day (until he changes trains)

Dawn, I am so happy to hear you are coming down for this one! I have shuffled a few things around and am 99% sure I can be there. I will be bringing a couple of the kids but they adore Damien so will be on their best behaviour It was about this time last year that I met D for the first time when I brought my oldest and youngest (who was 17 months at the time) up on the train with me (his first Sunrise performance). I didn't know anyone from here then, I used to just read the forum. Here we are...12 months later and all such good friends and so many memories since then!

I'm sorry Carla, I gave you incorrect information in a pm. You only pay for 1 child. The rest are free. www.cityrail.info/fares/day_tickets.jspFamily fares The Family Fare deal has been created to make it extremely affordable for families to see Sydney by public transport. When at least one fare paying adult travels with their children or grandchildren, the first child travels for a child fare and the other children travel free. This includes DayTripper and CityHopper tickets

On the Weekend Sunrise thread Damien said he was doing 1 song but was hoping for 2, maybe if everyone rang and emailed Sunrise and requested a song they might get him to do 2 songs. I am going to ring up and ask if he can sing Danny Boy again.
