OMG Womby are you kidding - we really do have another "Hyp sideways special!" I started a trend! If you film that way, you can fit more of the jeans in!  Sorry I took so long to get here - I was extremely hungry and exhausted last night, I was in no condition to post happy stuff, but I'm way better now. I should've come to the hut instead of going shopping, I would've gotten some food, by the time we got home I was like this  I have photos, which I will upload tomorrow, and a few videos, but a certain tart who was smack-bang dead centre is in every shot, so not sure if I'll post them. I haven't figured out how to rotate the Star City ones yet anyway Ok some highlights: Big tart reunion in the middle of pit street! As some of us remarked it was like...well, Pitt Street!  We just about had to fight our way across the stream of human traffic and jump risky rope fences to get to him! Climb every mountain... Kudos to my mum, she was the first to spot him! He suddenly appeared in the line of people to see himself He must go "Oh there's a crowd, I must be on there..."  A certain tart (who shall remain unnamed unless she proudly steps forward) let out a squeal as he was leaning over to get his guitar out... Tart: OMG!!!Me: What? Tart: I saw his undies!!!Me:  Really?!............. So, what colour were they? Tart: I don't know...Me: But you saw them!!! Tart: I saw the band at the top...Me: So what colour was the band?! What brand?! Come on, snap out of the coma!!! Tart: I don't know, I just know I saw them... ;D |

My mum!  We had salespeople asking us if we wanted to write our names on post-it notes, and we said "No thanks, Damien knows who we are!" And, after all that, he forgot who I was! I didn't realize at first, I mentioned I was up to chapter 5 and I thought he was trying to remember what happened in it (rather than being ditzy, it was a good way to prolong the time I had talking to him ) and I had to tell him. My mum instantly said "That's it, I'll have to go home and smash some cd's!" Damien and I: Me: DON'T YOU DARE!!!! ... Oh well, if you smash them, we'll just have to buy more! More is good! ;D Poor Damien, Mum does like to tease! And the good news is, my sis is absolutely smitten! We introduced her, Damien shook her hand and said "nice to meet you", and signed a leaflet for her. She jumped in the group shots too - she's so tall!  - she said to me afterwards "he's nice, isn't he?" ;D Damien asked if she was a member, and when she said no he said "well you'll have to join up!" I said, "see, HE said so!" and she said she will! (that's how taken she is!  ) She doesn't like Hypersis tho, not sure if she'll really follow through or what she will be called. As to the tarts, she was a bit embarassed (teenagers ) but said you were a friendly lot, but she thought you'd be a bit younger  It was a great day though. It was lovely to see the girls again  and he was lovely, as usual - others said the voice was a bit rough but I didn't notice - I looked over during AIWIY and both Mum and sis had big grins and mum looked like she was tearing up  Sis and I looked at each other and smiled as we sang along at one point, then looked up and saw that Damien was smiling at us too! It was a great feeling! Almost forgot, I gave him a pressie for the boys, personalized xmas stockings which I had to finish sewing on the train, and I drawing I did. I didn't get a hug or kiss cos when management told us to move out I dutifully shuffled off while everyone else pounced on him  but I got a cute wave as he was packing up, I gave him one and got one back  He was playing to the crowd a lot, and lots of people were stopping by to look and take some snaps, a group of adolescent boys took me by surprise by getting a group pic - just like we did ;D - and a shy little girl went up with a sheet of paper and Damien said "Do you want me to sign this?" It was sweet! I'm rambling, but one last highlight, I overheard as we went up for a group pic: Tart: Time to check out the abs! Damien: (Irish equivalent of 'eep!') |

With a story like that Hyper, how could I not be?? isn't he so sweet with the littlies? ... so he told Hypersis to join us eh? i know, you said she's tall... for a littlie You two can be twins - you look so much alike Ha, he remembers you every other time but the super memory fails him when your pride's at stake Teh idol's human after all He does a lovely wave cause he matches it with twinkling smiley eyes :wavesanta: Lucky you, Hyper, to get a couple right at ya! Lol How do the Irish say 'eep!'? Thanks for your report Hyp, yours are always so left of centre. I love your family!! |

An Irish 'eep' sounded somewhere between a groan, a squeak and a slow fraying of the nerves Yes my sis is quite a bit taller than me, and she's six years younger! It's not fair!  It's funny, at Warringah I asked Damien to sign a cd for her, and he said "Haven't I met her before?" Turns out my sis and Janny have the same name! She could've taken credit for the very first undie toss, but I don't think she'd want to! She was never that into Damien before, but she charmed her socks off, between the singing and the handshake. Her schoolfriends are apparently already sick of hearing about him And Nuffy, I always remember a little girl at Warringah last time. Her mother said "Tell Damien what song you like!" The little girl said "Here we are..." very shyly so Damien began to sing "Here we are, shooting stars..." I'll never forget the look on her face, it was priceless! The signing was all too brief - he disappeared downstairs somewhere afterwards - but it was great! ;D Any day with D in it is great! |

Poor thing though, he was tired, he said so after he forgot my name (Mum says it was an excuse, but if it was, I say he's earnt his excuse!) I helped him out with everyone else's names as well since my sis nabbed a spot at the head of the cue and he asked me to help him out. He said "You wouldn't believe how tired I am..." poor love! And my mum was being mean!  Ok, I'll stop rambling now, I'm off, but I'll post piccies tomorrow! |

Yeah, I liked him before he opened his mouth to sing on Idol! When I first saw him I thought "He seems like a nice guy, God I hope he can sing, I don't want to watch Mark and Kyle cut him down!" And could he sing! ;D Turns out the "cutting down" came later  [/gush] Ok, now I'm really off! |

OMG Hyp, your report is a riot! I am reading real fast, still at work. Yes you should have come to teh Hut instead of shopping, lol. And I also found it really funny how we were saying "OMG it's so crowded, it's like being in Pitt St" and we were actually in Pitt St! So there is good reason for the saying! I am just collapsing laughing at Damien being in his own line to see himself - I thought it looked like he was coming from the line too lol, you are helping me remember so much of this! I missed the entire undies convo (lol!!) - at that time a certain other person behind me was taking me by the hand and saying "teh EUPHORIA!!!" So after that I just heard Damien saying "Scandalous!" and I never knew why! Now I do! So your reports are equally informative for those of us who were actually there as well Your Mum is such a tease, its always great to see her and I loved meeting your sis! I hope she joins here - and no surprise teh charm has her GJ can help you rotate those videos btw, and OMG did you seriously do another sideways one! the video I took is on the last post in the previous page, so that one is up to check out  |
