Damien on 2day fm 6/2/08

Damien was just on 2day fm with Kyle and Jackie o. Talked about the new show and also mentioned new book and album
They asked kids to ring in with questions and Damien gave them advice - it was so cute, though I would have preferred to hear more of Damien's explanation about where babies come from instead of Kyle's stupid lego explanation
One little boy asked "why do we have to die?" and another one asked "why do girls like you one day and then like somebody else the next?" (or something like that). The last caller was a shy little 5 year old girl who was obviously being told what to say by her mother when she asked "mummy had two babies - where did they come from" - a damienite perhaps??
It was a sheer fluke that I heard the interview - I jumped in the car to come to work and there was a traffic report on Mix 106.5 so I flicked across quickly to see what was on 2day fm - just in time to hear them say that Damien was coming up next. When I arrived at the office I quickly sent Braffy an SMS (as she had sent me one on Monday about the Mix interview) then sat in my car and listened Damien must have been sending me vibes through the airwaves

awww that sounds soo cute....hopefully they put a podcast of it up, would love to hear it. Did he sing? ;D

;D Thanks so much Womby. I raced to the radio beside my bed and kept turning the dial until I heard a glorious Irish accent. ;D He was up to the bit where the children were asking the questions. I am thinking that he didn't sing live because they made reference to NJFW but they didn't play it or get Damien to sing it.
Kyle does interrupt all the time and Damien was floored by the questions that he was asked. I could feel the heat in my bedroom from his blushing, but he was giving great answers for the first 2 and on the 3rd he was attempting to (probably saying to himself, hang on, Jarvis is only 2 I shouldn't have to be answering these questions just yet) but Kyle went on about the lego theory - which has made me decide never to buy Lego again,. Damien did try again to explain it but I think the poor kid is so confused about Lego now that she wouldn't have heard Damien.


which reminds me of a story of when my eldest daughter went to her first 'special sex education class' on where babies come from and was told a seed. She refused to eat passionfruit after that because she didn't want a seed in her tummy and didn't want a baby. She was about 6

Was my pleasure to return the favour for Monday Braffy No Damien didn't sing today and he was only on for a short while (made even shorter thanks to Kyle's constant butting in and chopping off ) Glad it is now up for everyone to hear

Thanks Womby and Smiley! I think Damien could have made a really good go at answering those questions if not for Kyle but at least Kyle was sweet to the kids.
