It's the one song from "The Winner's Journey" I can't stop watching and listening to. There is something so simplistic and beautiful about Damien's arrangement of this Split Enz classic, and he conveys so much emotion with just a piano keyboard and his voice. Pure perfection!  Ditto, Sunshine. One thing I love about Damien's vocal style is that he respects the melody of the songs he sings, while at the same time giving it his own unique stamp. Loved this song, and loved Damien's performance. |

My favourite bit of that on the DVD: Damien smiling when he sings "Now I wake up happy, warm in a lover's embrace". He is obviously looking at his lovely wife in the audience. That melts me every time. |

Just thought I'd add that this one should've got a touchdown for sure - you can't here it on TWJ cos it's been tinkered with, but on the original mp3 you could hear the crowd stamping their feet, it was the usual 'rumble' that served as a precursor for a touchdown. The same thing happened on UM. We know who's to blame!  |
