Come to Me was the first Damien song I heard! What can I say?! I just stopped and went "OMFG!!!" I was awestruck! It's so beautiful! I love the bit in the profile on TWJ where he's playing it for Eileen!

I love that part on his profile too, where he plays it on guitar - I love the version on the CD with the piano and everything, but I would just love to have a copy of him performing the whole song on guitar too. It's one of those songs where I think you could have a hundred different versions of him singing it, and find something to love about each one!

Does anyone know the inspiration for the lyrics? I heard some reference to an interview D did where he said he wrote it for a friend who died under tragic circumstances. His friend's death had an huge impact and he couldn't finish singing the song for 6 months because of the emotions it brought to the surface. Does anyone have any more details? Would love to know

(complete with totally embarrassing dedication ). Needless to say, it was the best song on the playlist And I got such a buzz listening to it being broadcast while flying over clouds...and knowing that so many other people would be getting the same experience I've scanned the page in the Q magazine that lists it...and will post it in a few weeks when I get back home! Y'all will also be glad to know that NOML was also on another channels playlist, and the Q magazine featured a review of the TWJ March was a big month for D and QANTAS it seems!

OMG SJ really --- did you hear the acoustic version he did on TV www.youtube.com/watch?v=CQmiAxMdC4Y it is fantastic......... Don't you mean funtarstic? I haven't watched that video for a while so I'm used to the one on TWJ. The acoustic version in the video sounds so different, cos the guitar bit isn't slow. I reckon piano accompaniment sounds better for Come To Me, although I liked the acoustic version he sung for Eileen in the profile on TWJ. Was the acoustic version for Eileen different to the one in that video?
